Dolly Parton's nephew, Bryan Seaver, reportedly lashed out in profanity-filled emails four days before her death

Dolly Parton’s nephew, Bryan Seaver, and former head of security allegedly sent a series of profanity-filled emails on August 21, 2026, four days before Dolly Parton died. According to court documents obtained by Page Six, the heavily redacted email was forwarded among members of Dolly’s team before Bryan fired off a profanity-laced response. He allegedly wrote:

"Hi Billy. Message received. If you think my harsh language is too much for you or your failing vendors to digest, just wait until my lawyers start f–king you up the ass. Let’s play ball, you f–king s–tbag loser. Why is your side of this project continually f–ked up and behind the curve?"

It was not clear who Billy is, though the series of emails does include Parton’s longtime manager, Danny Nozell, as well as some of Dolly’s staffers and employees of Bryan Seaver’s Squadron Augmented Protection Services. Bryan allegedly wrote, "Please by all means with sugar on top, let’s do legal violence you f–king worthless skinny fat nerd." He reportedly concluded the email by writing, "Go f–k yourself you f–k."

It is worth noting that it cannot be confirmed whether Bryan Seaver was responding directly to a letter sent from the country music icon, as the email has been heavily redacted. The profanity-filled email conversation appeared to be a dispute over the security at Parton’s Nashville properties. A few days back, Page Six reported that Dolly’s nephew was accused of intimidating and harassing staffers at Dolly Parton’s Nashville hotel and museum.

Why was Bryan Seaver removed from Dolly Parton's estate? Here's what we know

In September 2026, Bryan Seaver faced a temporary restraining order from aunt, Dolly Parton's long-time manager, Danny Nozell, and her legacy protection company, She's Alive, LLC. According to the lawsuit, Bryan allegedly targeted employees of Parton’s Dollywood business partner, She’s Alive, LLC (SAL), the entity managing the country music icon’s professional property and business interests, at Parton’s SongTeller Hotel and Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in downtown Nashville.

The lawsuit also accused Seaver of allegedly texting Parton’s long-time manager, Nozell, about interfering with the operations of Dollywood just six days before Parton’s death. Bryan had served as Parton's head of security for more than 20 years, but in mid-September Seaver and his security companies were formally dismissed from their duties.

According to the lawsuit, Parton’s long-time manager expressed fears over Bryan Seaver’s alleged threatening text messages, which prompted employees of his management company to stop going to the office. Dolly Parton’s nephew was accused of using self-proclaimed military-contractor experience and access to weapons to demand money.

The management team described Bryan’s actions as a direct threat to sabotage a core business relationship and to use public exposure as a weapon against SAL and its partners. In an interview with TMZ, Bryan called his firing 'unexpected' and 'unexplained.' According to Seaver, the messages mentioned in the lawsuit were not threats. He alleged that he was having a private, emotional conversation with Danny Nozell, whom he considered a friend. He said:
