Dianna Russini's affair buzz with married Scot McCloughan is in focus amid her dating rumours with Mike Vrabel, who's also married.
Dianna Russini, a former NFL insider for The Athletic, is currently at the centre of a significant controversy following the April 7, 2026 release of Page Six's exclusive photos of her. The images show her and New England Patriots head coach, Mike Vrabel, indulging in PDA at an Arizona resort. The shots, taken on March 28, 2026, sparked buzz about the duo's affair and brought them significant backlash. Recently, the hate train against Dianna intensified after her past link-up with another married man related to the field of football, Scot McCloughan, resurfaced.
Jessica McCloughan, the wife of former Washington Commanders general manager, Scot McCloughan, publicly accused the then-ESPN reporter, Dianna Russini on Twitter of having an affair with her husband and exchanging sexual favours for team information. In a series of now-deleted tweets, which Jessica posted in September 2015, she referred to Dianna as her husband's "new side chick". She questioned how many times the former NFL insider indulged in physical encounters with Scot to secure "scoops" for her NFL stories.
Jessica particularly hinted at the types of articles that included exclusive inside information, such as the story that Kirk Cousins would replace Robert Griffin III as the starting quarterback. At that time, Dianna's then-employer, ESPN strongly defended her against the defamatory allegations, stating that Dianna was an excellent reporter who should not be subjected to such vulgar comments. Following that, Scot McCloughan's wife also issued a clarification regarding her allegations.
Jessica McCloughan, who levied such explosive allegations on Dianna Russini, thinking that she slept with her husband, later changed her stance completely. Jessica admitted that she had misunderstood Dianna and Scot McCloughan's relationship and apologised for defaming her. She mentioned that the affair accusations were "unfounded and inappropriate" and regretted that her comments had brought "undeserved negative attention" to Dianna and Redskins. She also apologised to the team and its fanbase, and later deleted her Twitter account. Jessica's statement could be read as:
"I deeply apologise for the disparaging reports about an ESPN reporter on my personal Twitter account...The comment was unfounded and inappropriate, and I have the utmost respect for both the reporter and ESPN. I regret that my actions have brought undeserved negative attention to the Redskins organisation and its leadership. My comments in no way reflect the opinions or attitudes of the organisation, and I regret that my behaviour has in any way negatively impacted the team and its loyal fan base."
Rumours of Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel's affair began after Page Six published exclusive photos of them on April 7, 2026. The photos depicted the two interacting closely at the Ambiente luxury resort in Sedona, Arizona. The images, reportedly taken during the weekend of March 28, 2026, show the pair holding hands and hugging on a private rooftop bungalow during the evening. They were also seen lounging side by side in a hot tub. Both of them denied the allegations; however, the public scrutiny surrounding them has not subsided but has intensified as more pics from their alleged past dates have been released by TMZ and the NY Times. The pics are from their 2020-24 meetups at casinos and bars, one of which even shows them kissing.
