Aditya Dhar's movie, Dhurandhar is all set to stream from January 30, 2026. The movie has been dropped at 12 AM IST on the OTT giant, Netflix. For the unversed, Aditya Dhar's blockbuster movie, Dhurandhar, featured a stellar star-cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Sara Arjun, among others.

Netflix has spent a huge budget for the streaming rights of the movie, Dhurandhar

The movie already crossed the Rs. 1000 crore mark at the domestic box office, and after roaring in the theatres, the 'Wrath of God' is spreading on the digital platform, Netflix. Dhurandhar has left people extremely excited, and now that the movie is finally on an OTT platform, viewers have started talking about it again. For the unversed, the movie will release its Part 2 soon, possibly in March. Did you know how much Netflix allegedly spent for the streaming rights of the movie, Dhurandhar?

It was a month ago when Bollywood Hungama quoted a source saying that Netflix already had the streaming rights of Aditya Dhar's movie, Dhurandhar, and not only for Part 1, but also for Part 2. Yes! While not confirmed, the source revealed that the streaming giant has spent Rs 65 crore on each Part, making it a total of Rs 130 crore for Netflix to secure the streaming rights of Dhurandhar for both parts. The source tagged it as one of the biggest deals of the streaming platforms. The source could be quoted as saying:

"Nevertheless, this is a huge figure in today’s times when the OTT prices have crashed. Also, it is a significant shot-in-the-arm for Ranveer Singh. This is his biggest OTT deal yet, if we count the amount given to both parts of Dhurandhar."

Dhurandhar on Netflix left netizens unimpressed for several reasons

There has been a whole lot of excitement among the viewers about the release of the movie, Dhurandhar, on Netflix. However, soon after the movie was dropped, it was seen that the runtime of the movie left people a bit confused.

It has been said that a total of 10 minutes have been cut from the movie, which viewers couldn't support, mostly as they thought movies like Kabir Singh or Animal  hadn't been censored. It seems that the abusive language in the film has been censored, along with the claims of the platform muting some dialogues. The movie, which received an 'A', is being edited for its OTT debut and has raised questions for many about why an adult film needs to go through this on an over-18 platform.
