Chris Noth, 71, expressed his disappointment over the fallout from their long-standing friendship during an interview on the Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson podcast. The episode featuring Chris will be released on January 26, 2026, and the pre-release video clip was shared by PEOPLE. In the clip, Chris Noth criticised his former Sex and the City co-star, Sarah Jessica Parker, 60, labelling her public response to sexual assault allegations against him as nothing more than "brand management."
At that time, Sarah released a joint statement with Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, in which they expressed support for Chris Noth's accusers. In the recent interview, he recalled the move and called it "sad," "disappointing," and "surprising". He claimed it was "more Hollywood than Hollywood," indirectly suggesting the reaction was not genuine and lacked personal integrity. Chris slammed Sarah Jessica Parker for being part of the smear campaign against him, despite being acquainted with him for years and knowing what kind of person he was. The actor was quoted by PEOPLE as saying:
"The statement that they put out, which was nothing more than brand management, really...I don't know, it was sad, it was disappointing, it was surprising, because you need to call me and hear my side of this. And you've known me for many years, and we've worked [together] for many years. And that didn't happen."
Chris cited a long-standing cordial professional relationship with Sarah as the reason he least expected such a response from her regarding his controversy. He alleged that Sarah Jessica Parker never reached out to him privately to hear his side of the story before publicly distancing herself, which was hurtful to him. In the Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson podcast, The Equalizer star confirmed that he is no longer on speaking terms with Sarah Jessica Parker, marking the definitive end of their long-standing friendship. He said:
"We're not friends, I think that's pretty obvious."
Several women have publicly accused actor Chris Noth of sexual assault or inappropriate behaviour, as was reported by The Hollywood Reporter in late 2021. An unnamed woman alleged that Chris r**ed her at his Los Angeles apartment in 2004 when she was 22. Another woman accused him of similar charges, saying that the horrifying experience took place at his New York City apartment in 2015, when she was 25. She claimed to have first met Chris Noth when she was working as a server. A third woman told The Daily Beast that the actor forcibly kissed her and attempted to have physical intimacy with her in 2010 when she was just 18.
Adding fuel to the fire, actress and screenwriter, Zoe Lister-Jones alleged that Chris Noth was "consistently sexually inappropriate" on the set of Law & Order: Criminal Intent in 2005, and even labeled him a "sexual predator". Singer-songwriter, Lisa Gentile alleged that Chris sexually assaulted her in 2002 by forcibly kissing her and touching her inappropriately, and then threatening to ruin her career if she spoke out. Heather Kristin, a former stand-in for Sex and the City, also made similar claims to Lisa.
Additionally, Chris Noth's ex-girlfriend, Beverly Johnson, filed a restraining order in the 1990s, accusing him of physical and verbal abuse, including threats to kill her. The actor has vehemently denied all allegations of sexual assault, maintaining that the encounters were consensual. However, despite his clarifications, Sarah Jessica Parker has cut ties with him, and she previously stated that she has not spoken to him since the allegations emerged in 2021.
