She has been making headlines since April 30, 2026, following the publicisation of her high-profile lawsuit. A junior male colleague, who filed the case using the pseudonym, John Doe, but was identified by media outlets as Chirayu Rana, accused her of sexual abuse. Recently, the controversy escalated when the accuser's friends and acquaintances came up with stories of their experience with him. One of them made bombshell accusations regarding Chirayu having lied about his wife, being manic and having a racial complex.
Since Chirayu Rana's court filings were shared by media outlets, his sexual assault case has been receiving immense traction. He alleged that Lorna Hajdini forced him into non-consensual and degrading sexual acts over several months in 2024. During one of the alleged forced physical encounters that took place in the victim's apartment, she allegedly racially insulted his wife. His wife is reportedly Asian, while Lorna Hajdini is white, which was the ground of the latter's alleged insult for the former. Now this narrative has been contested by one of Chirayu's friends, who claimed that the accuser fakes his marital status. The acquaintance stated:
"Apparently, the guy doesn't even have a wife and wears a fake wedding [ring]."
According to media reports, Chirayu Rana is an Indian-origin banker who has lived in the US for years. Though he has blended with the whites, he allegedly always had an extreme inferiority complex due to his race. An acquaintance of his friend shared in a tweet that Chirayu had been pretty "manic" in the last couple of years, and being Indian, working among whites, was one of the reasons. Notably, neither his race nor the friend's statement can be independently confirmed by BollywoodShaadis. Some online users claim Chirayu is Nepali rather than Indian. The acquaintance's tweet could be read as:
"They [Chirayu's friends] say he has been very manic the last 2 years and has an extreme complex about being Indian."
Chirayu Rana, who filed a lawsuit in April 2026 against Lorna Hajdini, alleged a "disturbing pattern" of sexual assault, racial harassment, and professional coercion by Lorna, who is an Executive Director at JPMorgan. He claimed that she used her senior position to force him into "non-consensual and humiliating sexual acts." She reportedly told him, "If you don't f**k me soon, I'm going to ruin you," and threatened his promotion and year-end bonuses if he did not agree to her demands.
The lawsuit further stated that Lorna Hajdini admitted to drugging Chirayu with Rohypnol and erection-enabling medication on multiple occasions to facilitate coerced sexual encounters. She allegedly insulted the victim by hurling several racial slurs at him, repeatedly calling him "my little brown boy," "brown Indian boy," and "my boy toy". The complaint further claimed that Lorna used her executive credentials to gain unauthorised access to John's personal bank accounts to track his location and monitor his activities.
Chirayu Rana is an investment professional who currently serves as a Principal at Bregal Sagemount, a private equity firm. Before his current role at Bregal, Chirayu held several positions at major financial institutions, including serving as Vice President at JPMorgan. It is this professional experience of Chirayu that prompted media outlets like Mint and Times Now to report that he was the victim of Lorna Hajdini. Regarding his academic background, he reportedly holds a B.S. in Finance from Rutgers Business School and was a member of the men's soccer team at Rutgers-Newark.
