Bollywood actress, Bhagyashree recalled an old incident and revealed how a reporter questioned her husband, Himalaya about her affair with Salman Khan hours after she gave birth to Abhimanyu Dasani.
Yesteryear actress, Bhagyashree became an overnight sensation after her stint in her debut film, Maine Pyar Kiya. The actress won millions of hearts for portraying the role of 'Suman', a shy girl in the film. However, she was at the peak of her career, when she left the film industry after getting married to Himalaya Dassani. Later, the couple even got blessed with two beautiful kids, a son, Abhimanyu Dassani and a daughter, Avantika Dassani. Now, years after her sabbatical break, the actress was recently seen in the Salman Khan starrer film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Bhagyashree opened up about the scandalous media reporting that used to happen in the 90s. Talking about the same, she recalled an old and unpleasant incident from the past. Bhagyashree revealed that even though there was nothing between her and her first co-star, Salman Khan, reports about their affair were rife in the media. Elaborating more about it, she shared that once a reporter asked her husband, Himalaya about her rumoured affair with Salman Khan hours after she gave birth to their first child, Abhimanyu. In her words:
"I had just given birth to Abhimanyu, and my sister-in-law was outside my room. A press reporter came by with a big bouquet, and asked to meet me. Of course, they said go in. She came in, looked at Himalaya, and said, How do you feel about Bhagyashree’s affair with Salman Khan, and now she has this kid with you?"

Further, in the same interview, Bhagyashree shared that Salman Khan was a gentleman and nice to her when their film was being made. And nobody ever questioned their relationship, however, that incident made her upset. Talking about the same, Bhagyashree mentioned that she was shocked by witnessing how badly people can treat others. Revealing how she left reading film magazine after the incident, she said:
"Nobody had ever said anything like this in my life. Through the entire course of Maine Pyar Kiya being made, Salman was such a gentleman. And this was on the very next day of my delivering a baby. I was shocked at how badly people can treat each other. I was so upset by this, I stopped reading film magazines, I stopped getting film magazines at home, and I decided to distance myself from the world of films."
In one of the episodes of the comedy show, Zee Comedy Show, Bhagyashree had opened up about her debut film, Maine Pyaar Kiya. Talking about the same, the actress revealed why she refused to kiss or hug her co-star, Salman Khan in the film. Bhagyashree shared that she was too young when the film happened and she had never hugged any guy till then. Hence, Bhagyshree started crying when she got to know that she would have to hug Salman during a song sequence.

Earlier, in an interview with Radio Nasha, Bhagyashree had opened up about why she left her acting career after her marriage. Talking about the same, the actress mentioned that she was too young when she married and gave birth to their first child just the following year. Thus, Bhagyashree couldn't multi-task and felt like she wasn't capable enough to balance her home life with her work life.
On the professional front, Bhagyashree was last seen in the film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
