Bobby Deol’s latest offering, Bandar has officially been released in theatres. Despite releasing today, on June 5, 2026, the movie, directed by Anurag Kashyap is already on everyone’s mind. Well, the movie revolves around a man named ‘Samar’, whose ex-girlfriend accuses him of rape and assault. It is worth noting that cast fees of any movie is not confirmed by the actor or the makers; however, a report by Times Now, recently shared an alleged amount that actors might have taken. If that is believed to be true, Bobby Deol took a major amount of the film’s budget as his fees, making him the highest paid actor. Other actors were reportedly given very low fees.
According to a report by Times Now, the budget of the movie, Bandar is approximately Rs. 130 crore. This includes, cast fees, production design, costume and more. And Bobby Deol, who plays the role of ‘Samar’ in the movie reportedly took home a massive paycheque of Rs. 45 crore. He is the highest paid actor of Bandar.
For those who do not know, the star cast of Bobby Deol’s Bandar involves three beautiful and talented actresses named Saba Azad, Sanya Malhotra and Sapna Pabbi. Well, according to the same report by Times Now, Sanya Malhotra, who plays the role of Bobby Deol’s sister in the film, received Rs. 60 lakh for the film. It is worth noting that Sanya usually charges more than Rs. 1 crore per film.
Apart from her, Saba Azad, who portrays the role of Bobby Deol’s current girlfriend in the movie took home a paycheque of Rs. 70 lakhs. Lastly, Sapna Pabbi, who plays the role of ‘Gayatri’ in Bandar was the highest paid actress. For those unaware, her character is the ex-girlfriend of ‘Samar’, who accuses him of rape. Well, for her brilliant role, Sapna charged around Rs. 1.3 crore.
The recently released movie, Bandar also features Raj B Shetty and Jitendra Joshi in important roles. Well, coming to their fees for the movie, Raj Shetty reportedly earned Rs. 40 lakhs and Jitendra Joshi received approximately Rs. 1 crore for Bandar, as per a report by Times Now. It is worth mentioning that the exact salary of these actors cannot be verified.
A few days ago, Bobby Deol had a conversation with Wion, during which he opened up about his film, Bandar and his strong and vulnerable character. Later, when he was asked about his fees for the film, the much-celebrated actor mentioned that he did not ask for any hike in his salary, as he was attracted towards the script and wanted to focus on that. In his words:
"I didn't increase my fee for this film. When a project truly excites me as an actor, money isn't the first thing I think about. What drew me in was the opportunity to play such a real, grounded character. We are often conditioned to portray larger-than-life roles, but being completely normal on screen is actually far more challenging."
Recently, Sanya Malhotra had a chat with PTI, during which she praised Anurag Kashyap and revealed that she did not read the script of Bandar before signing the movie. She explained that the last time she did something like this was for Ludo. Sanya Malhotra was quoted as saying:
"I didn't read the script. I had no idea what I was going to be a part of. I truly enjoy that process. The last time it happened was during ‘Ludo’. I was quite discombobulated on that set but I did enjoy that whole process."
