Babil Khan penned an extremely emotional note remembering his dad, Irrfan Khan, days ahead of the latter's fourth death anniversary but soon deleted it. Netizens expressed concern about it.
Babil Khan is the son of the late iconic actor, Irrfaan Khan and his wife, Sutapa Sikdar. Talking about the legacy Irrfaan has left behind is indeed unexplainable, and even four years after his demise, he has been etched in the hearts of his millions of fans. For the unversed, Irrfan passed away on April 29, 2020, at the mere age of 53. He left for the heavenly abode after suffering from prolonged illness due to cancer and breathed his last after giving a tough fight to a colon infection, which had happened during his treatment.
Walking in the same footsteps, Babil Khan, too, made a niche for himself. He was seen in a few films and web series, including Qala, Railway Men, and Friday Night Plan, among others. However, the doting son, being extremely attached to his father, now dropped a cryptic note on his IG story. Just a few days ahead of his father's fourth death anniversary, Babil penned, "Sometimes I feel like giving up and going to baba." However, soon after uploading it, Babil deleted it, leaving his fans wondering about his emotional state.

Soon after the Reddit user shared Babil's IG story on the discussion platform, netizens started penning heartfelt notes for him. Moreover, many netizens requested the actor to stay strong, reminding him that his late father, Irrfaan, might always look at and bless him. However, many others also wondered if Babil is alright and prayed for his good health both mentally and physically.

Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Babil Khan once talked about the most tragic moment of his life, when he lost his father, Irrfan Khan. Taking in the same lines, Babil mentioned how he had to take up all the family pressures. However, these responsibilities were not forced upon him by anyone, but he continues to feel the pangs of this pressure continually in his life to date. Then, he also spoke about people’s perceptions about him, and revealed how they approach him with memories of his father. In his words:
“I took it upon myself. Nobody told me to do this. And nobody told me to take the pressure. Nobody told me to become an actor. I wanted to. I stepped into the mud and now I have to deal with it. And I feel pressure all the time. I wake up in pressure and I sleep in pressure. I go through the day in pressure. But the truth is that you will never realize your potential as an artist and a human being without pressure. Because pressure it shapes you, it is needed to shape you. People have been coming to me. Before it was all about ‘I love your father’ and even I was like ‘I love my father’. But now, people do come to me and I’m totally expecting them. They are like ‘Oh, I watched your work and I really liked it’ and he becomes all shy.”

In another interview with Film Companion, Babil Khan spoke about his ardent desire for his father, the late Irrfan Khan. The doting son mentioned how he wanted to show his achievements this far to his father. Moreover, Babil shared that he missed his father and his smile, and always wanted to make him proud.
