Anuj Sachdeva is a leading name in the television world who rose to prominence after participating in MTV Roadies in 2005. He later got prominence with his stellar performances in shows like Sabki Laadli Bebo, Sasural Genda Phool, Bidaai, Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya, and many more. He was last seen in the web series Chhal Kapat.
Anuj is leading the headlines after he, along with his pet dog, was attacked during a violent altercation inside his residential complex in Mumbai. The incident stemmed from a dispute over improper parking. During the altercation, Anuj sustained a head injury and was left bleeding. Ever since Anuj shared the disturbing video on his social media handle, his fans got concerned.
Apart from his professional life, Anuj has often hit the headlines for his personal life and his link-up rumours. However, many people don’t know, but Anuj was once madly in love with Urvashi Dholakia, and the duo was all set to get married. But then, what led to their split? Let us read on to know.
Anuj Sachdeva and Urvashi Dholakia dated for about three years, but kept their relationship under wraps. The two were often spotted attending several events together, and their closeness often grabbed attention. But they always maintained the stance of good friends. Urvashi was previously married and had twins from her first marriage. However, she got divorced and raised her sons as a single mother.
Anuj and Urvashi were so much in love with each other that there were reports that the duo would get married. But when Urvashi met Anuj, she was sure he was the one for her and decided to give love another chance. Once, her kids spoke about her relationship with Anuj and said:
“Anuj is a very nice person, he's perfect for our mom. Whenever he bought anything for her, he would always get something for us too. Anuj is like family to us, but we never questioned our mom about her relation with Anuj. All we want is for her to be happy and if she's happy with Anuj, we are happy for her."
After dating for a few years, Anuj and Urvashi parted ways. There were many speculated reasons for it. A few rumours stated that Anuj’s mother wasn’t too pleased with his relationship with Urvashi, who was older than him and had children. Anuj also once shared that he was not ready to take a relationship’s responsibility and wanted to give some time to his career.
Urvashi later revealed that their timing was off. The actress also revealed that after her father’s death, she became vulnerable and took some time off. The actress also stated that the breakup was a mutual decision.
Anuj and Urvashi surprised everyone when they decided to participate in the reality show, Nach Baliye 9, in 2019, after their breakup. They appeared together as dancing partners on the show, which featured ex-couples. Throughout the show, there were no ugly moments between the ex-couple, and they maintained their cordial bond.
Once, in an old interview with a leading publication, Anuj highlighted his relationship with Urvashi despite the end of their romance. He gave Urvashi credit for handling everything with maturity, which gave them the opportunity to work together.
"I appreciate her for handling everything with grace and maturity. It's because of our healthy equation that we continue to stay in touch and also participated in Nach Baliye. People evolve with time and their goals and dreams, too change. We decided mutually to end our relationship."
