But certain suspense is usually very sweet and we are sure that Alia and Ranbir are actually living it! Both of them are mostly spotted together, be it on the sets or taking short breaks between shoot schedules. Rumours about them dating sparked more when the duo walked together at Sonam Kapoor’s reception and looked head-in-heels in love with each other. Here’s a recap picture:

Talking about short breaks, you all know that the couple is working together in the film, Brahmastra, directed by Ranbir’s close buddy Ayan Mukerji, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan. Recent posts and images also suggest that all of them are working closely together and attending workshops for the film. At one such instance, the couple found some solace time between work and headed off to a posh eatery in Mumbai, SoBo, for a quiet lunch late. They went in at around 2pm and left an hour later. As per reports, Ranbir wore a casual white tee and jeans while Alia donned a salwar-kameez. A source present at the restaurant informed, “They ordered truffle fries, pork belly buns, scrambled eggs and duck salad.”

In a recent interview with Filmfare, Ranbir shared probable hints of him dating Alia. The Saawariya actor shared, “It’s really new right now, and I don’t want to over speak. It needs time to breathe and it needs space. As an actor, as a person, Alia is – what’s the right word? – flowing right now. When I see her work, when I see her act, even in life, what she gives is something that I’m aspiring to for myself. It’s new for us, so let it cook a bit.”

Ranbir also spoke about how it felt to be in a relationship all over again. He stated, “It always comes with a lot of excitement. It’s a new person, it comes with new beats. Old tricks become new tricks again – you know, being charming and romantic, all of that. I think I’m more balanced today. I value relationships more. I can appreciate hurt and what it does to a person much more than I could a couple years back.”

The SOTY actress was asked by Filmfare about what she likes and dislikes about Ranbir Kapoor. To this, Alia replied, “I’ve gotten to know him in the last couple of months since we began work on Brahmastra. I’ve interacted a lot with him personally. But what I genuinely love about him is that he’s all heart. He’s a very very pure and simple person. There’s no fuss and that same simplicity translates in him as an actor as well. That’s why you can always see through him and see into his eyes. That’s why he’s got that effect on you. He’s simple. He’s not trying to emote or express. Ya, that’s what I like most about Mr Ranbir Kapoor. What I do not like about him? I don’t dislike anything about him as of now.”
