Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleGaurav Khanna's wife, Akanksha Chamola had a Lock Upp 2 journey filled with a lot of highs and lows. The Netflix reality show ended, but Akanksha's life has been extremely hectic. She spoke about receiving a lot of love from people and has now clarified her "kutta aa jata" remark. She had indirectly used it on Gaurav when he had entered Lock Upp Season 2.
Akanksha Chamola feels that she has become a very important voice for women. Apart from discussing this, she also opened up about her kutta aa jata remark. Chamola, in a Zoom interview, cleared the air regarding her statement. She revealed that time and again she does not feel the need to justify her actions. In her words:
"Ek insaan ka ek emotion hai, toh jaise ki maine kaha, maine bohot clearly mention kiya tha. Uss point pe main Gaurav se divorce le rahi thi, toh mujhe nahi chahiye tha ki aap jinse separate ho rahe hai, so you will not want that person to come and support you."
Akanksha made it clear that Gaurav had come on the show just to clarify his stance, and she felt he did not come to support her. For the unversed, when Akanksha spoke with the contestants in the Lock Upp 2 house, she said it would have been better if her parents or her dog had come. She did not want Gaurav to come and felt:
"I would have preferred agar meri mummy ya papa koi aate, ya mera kutta hi aa jata. He was not there to support me because he didn't give me any information for me to feel ki 'Oh, I am doing really well with the game'. No, that was not the thing that had happened."
Akanksha went on to mention that she was just expressing that her pet dog and parents are her loved ones. She stated that she did not wish to impose a hierarchy in which her parents were seen as above her pet. For Akanksha, everyone was equal to her, and she shared:
"Mera toh bhai bhi hain. Maine bhai ka naam bhi nahi liya, uspe kisi ne mudda nahi uthaya. Kutta chodo, meri toh billi bhi hai, vo bohot famous hain internet pe. Maine uska bhi naam nahi liya. But it was just a statement. I was expressing."
Chamola, speaking further on the topic, revealed that the masses got very selective with a part of her statement. She mentioned that if people only want to hold on to that part of her sentence, then she cannot change public perception. Akanksha feels, "Ab vohi baat hai, tumko jo pakadna hai, tum apne perception ke hisaab se, selective hoke, bohot selectively, sab kuch choose karte ho. And then bol dete ho, 'Isne aise kaise bol diya?' Kyu? Itna moral policing mat karo."
Gaurav's wife wants that if audiences are doing moral policing, it should apply to everything. Akanksha does not want the audience to be selective with their judgements and noted, "Selectively mat karo. Phir applaud do is baat ki Gaurav se divorce le rahi hain, lekin maa-baap ke saath ke usne same uspe rakha hai."
The TV actor's wife, Akanksha, also added that fans should not be offended by her taking her parents' names along with her pet. She does not want them to be offended just because she took Gaurav's name. Chamola feels audiences are sometimes picky, and if they want to lynch her, then it should be done for all the right reasons.
