Soundarya Jagadish was a renowned film producer in the Kannada film industry. Unfortunately, he passed away at the age of 55, as he was found dead inside his Bengaluru house. On April 14, 2024, Jagadish’s wife, Rekha found him hanging in the utility area of their kitchen around 9:30 am. She immediately informed their family members, and they rushed him to a nearby hospital.
However, when Jagadish was brought to the hospital, the doctors declared him dead. As per the police, they are treating Jagadish’s death as a case of suicide but are investigating all the possible angles. For the unversed, Jagadish has produced a series of renowned films like Appu And Pappu, Mast Maja Maadi, Snehitaru and Ramleela.

Soundarya Jagadish’s close friend, Shreyas also talked to the reporters stationed outside the hospital, where the Kannada producer was declared dead. He revealed that Jagadish had died following a suicide attempt, and upon reaching the hospital, he was declared dead. Shreyas further added that no one knows the reason behind this tragedy, and the police is investigating all the angles. He also confirmed that there were no health-related issues with Jagadish.
According to DCP Saidulu Adavath, Soundarya Jagadish’s wife, Rekha filed a case of unnatural death at the police station. The police officer revealed that no suicide note was recovered from Jagadish’s residence. However, DCP Saidulu shared a crucial detail related to Jagadish’s demise with the press. The police officer revealed that Jagadish’s mother-in-law (MIL) passed away 15 days ago, and due to his close attachment to her, Jagadish was unable to digest the reality of her demise.

DCP Saidulu Adavath further revealed that Soundarya Jagadish’s mother-in-law (MIL) was living with him in his house. As a result, when she passed away, it was hard for the producer to deal with her loss. Not only this, he even started taking medication for stress. While in his personal life, he was struggling to overcome his mother-in-law’s death, he also suffered some losses on the professional front. With all these stressful things hitting Jagadish all at once, the possibility of suicide is looming upon the case.
Despite all the scenarios hinting at suicide, Soundarya Jagadish’s family is still urging police to investigate all the possible angles. The untimely demise of Jagadish and how things have unfolded shocked the entire Kannada film industry. The police are also actively conducting the investigation and will soon present their take on the case in the coming weeks.
