The duo has been enjoying every bit of parenthood with their cutesy munchkin, Vayu Kapoor, who turned one year a few days back. Recently, at an event, Sonam opened up about the most magical moment in her life. She also shared some details about her pregnancy.
At an event in Mumbai, Sonam Kapoor recently opened up about the most magical moment in her life. The actress shared that the moment her baby was born and she held him in her arms, it was one of the best things she had ever felt. Calling those feelings a moment of euphoria, Sonam revealed a few more anecdotes about the day when her baby boy was born. The actress shared that she had a normal delivery, and her hubby was by her side, along with her close ones including her parents, her sister, and her in-laws. Calling the day and the moment magical, Sonam stated:
"When I delivered my baby and he was in my arms, it was one of the best things I felt. There is a feeling of euphoria. I had a natural birth and it was the most amazing moment. My husband was next to me and the doctor who helped me deliver the baby was my mother’s close friend. I had the people who love me around me — my parents, my sister, my in-laws. It was just the best moment of my life. It is really life changing when you give birth to a child.”

Further, in the event, Sonam Kapoor talked about her pregnancy diet. The actress shared that her doctor from London told her to be on a balanced inflammatory diet, which is mainly Indian food such as dal, roti, and bhaji. The diva also mentioned that she did a bit of exercise, which helped her. Sharing that her pregnancy journey was easy and simple, Sonam said:
"My doctor in London told me to eat a balanced inflammatory diet which is basically Indian Khana. So I had dal, roti, and bhaji. If you are a non vegetarian you can have chicken, fish and dahi. So I had a balanced diet, did walking and a bit of exercise. It really helped me. I had a great pregnancy as I kept it easy and simple.”
It was back on August 21, 2023, when Sonam had taken to her IG handle and dropped a few glimpses from Vayu's one-year birthday party. In one of the photos, we could see Sonam, Anand, and Vayu taking part in a puja together. All three looked simply adorable as they celebrated Vayu's special day. However, it was the little one who melted millions of hearts with his cutesy attire. Vayu, who could be seen sitting on his papa's lap, looked adorable in a green-hued kurta-pyjama. Yet in another photo, Sonam, who was decked up in a yellow salwar, could be seen sharing a candid moment with her little bundle of joy, and it was simply heart-melting.

It was on September 20, 2022, when Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja shared the first-ever picture with their baby boy as the little one turned one month old. The wholesome photo featured the trio twinning in yellow-coloured outfits. Sharing the picture, Sonam also revealed her baby boy's name and shared that they have named him 'Vayu'.
