Madhuri Dixit is one of the most famous actresses of the '90s. Her outstanding acting in super hit films like Ram Lakhan, Tridev, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Hum Saath Saath Hai and many more earned her a huge fan following across the nation. For those who don't know, Madhuri is one of the first few actresses, who made dancing in the snow an iconic thing. However, not many know that she has suffered a lot while dancing in the middle of snow-capped mountains, and once her lips almost turned blue due to the low temperature.
In an old interview with Bollywood Hungama, Madhuri Dixit recalled an incident while shooting for a film, Pukaar on a glacier in Alaska. The actress shared that Anil Kapoor was in a t-shirt, and an overcoat, while she wore a blue chiffon saree for the song. Madhuri revealed that she wasn't able to shoot the song on the first day due to the extreme cold.

When Madhuri was asked how she was able to sing for the camera while filming in the freezing conditions, Madhuri revealed that Farah Khan, who was their choreographer, kept asking her to sing. However, her lips were not moving because of the cold. She was quoted as saying:
"The first evening I couldn't do it. Because we went there by the afternoon we were on the glaciers and it started getting really cold, by evening it was 4-4:30 pm. Farah (Khan) was the choreographer and she is saying 'everybody sing' and I am like 'I am singing.' But my lips were not moving because I had frozen completely."
Recalling the incident, Madhuri revealed that there was a doctor at the location as it was extremely cold. The doctor noticed her lips turning blue and she cancelled the shoot. Madhuri added that the next day was better, but she wasn't able to do much as she was decked up in a chiffon saree. Sharing the incident, Madhuri said:
"There was a doctor on location because it's very chilly, so there has to be someone on standby. She came up to me and said 'no no no, her lips are turning blue. Packup.' So first day was bad. Next day we started getting a little adjusted to the cold and we knew how to dress up for that. It was a chiffon saree so I couldn't do much. But still we tried to keep me warm, they had a person on standby with white chadar who used to come running and put it around me, and give me like a small heater after the shot was over."
Madhuri Dixit tied the knot with Shriram Nene on October 17, 1999. The actress appeared on the quiz reality show, Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan in 2001. In a clip that has been trending on the internet, we can see Madhuri struck on a 'surgery' based question for which she used a lifeline, 'Phone-O-Friend.' When Amitabh asked her whom she would like to call, she blushed and said, "Dr. Shriram Nene." To this, Amitabh quipped:
"Dr. Shriram Nene, Pati Dev se baat karna chah rahi hai aap."
