Hussain Kuwajerwala rose to fame with his handsome good looks and boy-next-door persona in serials like Kumkum-Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, Sajan Re Phir Jhooth Mat Bolo, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi among so many others. However, despite attaining such a feat in the television space, the actor wasn’t seen much in work after 2010. And now, it was as the host of Indian Idol 14 that Hussain made his comeback and has been winning hearts all over. And in a recent interaction, the actor talked about many unheard facets of his life.
In a recent interaction with ETimes, Hussain Kuwajerwala talked about taking such a long break from work and revealed that it was never a conscious decision for him. He mentioned that although he didn’t have a strong reason to take up the break, however, when the scope of hosting Indian Idol 14 came, he simply grabbed on it. Elaborating more, he said:
“I wish I had a solid reason to explain the break, but I don’t. It wasn’t a conscious decision. I don’t plan things and follow my instinct instead. I have no complaints, as I have received a lot of love and affection over the years. Indian Idol came my way, and I was happy with the offer, so I took it up.”

In his personal life, Hussain tied the knot with his ladylove, Tina Darira in 2005, after nine long years of relationship. Being slightly aversive of limelight, the duo seldom get spotted together in the limelight. In the same interview, Hussain talked about his personal life and revealed whether he and Tina would take up the next stage of their lives by embracing parenthood. In his response, Hussain revealed:
“There was a period when we were content with the way things were. Its not just about having a baby but about when you want to have one. However, it does feel like we are now in the last over. Although we still have some time, we are contemplating it more seriously. I have always believed that a woman needs to be ready for it, and it isn’t right to pressurise her. A mother undergoes the maximum transformation and time commitment.”
In an earlier interview with DNA, Hussain had talked about his inter-faith wedding with wifey, Tina and revealed how, due to this very reason, he imagined there would be a lot of fights and clashes between the two families. However, he revealed that, on the contrary, everything went well, as both their families were very accommodating and understanding.

In the same interview, Hussain then went on to recall a sweet and hilarious anecdote from his courtship period with his wife, Tina. The actor mentioned walking on a beach with his ladylove when one of his friends blatantly told Tina about Hussain’s love for her, without even once consulting the latter. In his words:
“Once Tina and I were sitting on a bench along with a friend who all of a sudden uttered ‘Tina, Hussain loves you’. I was zapped and did not know how to react. It was not even the usual filmy trick where the guy asks his friends to help him. Both of us were taken aback but I guess my most beautiful moments started from there.”
