Once, Glenn Maxwell revealed a unique story of his 'nightmare' proposal to his then-girlfriend, Vini Raman, and it's all things adorable.

It was back in 2020 when Cricket Australia, on their X (previously Twitter), dropped a video of Glenn Maxwell, wherein he revealed some interesting deets about his 'nightmare' proposal to Vini Raman. In the video, Maxwell said that his plan of proposing to his then-girlfriend, Vini Raman, on a beach got ruined, and because of it, he had to end up proposing to his ladylove in a public park surrounded by a lot of school children and people. Maxwell said that it was an absolute 'nightmare' as everything was going really bad. Elaborating more on the same, Maxwell mentioned:
"There were kids everywhere. This is a nightmare. It’s just going so badly. She drove past as I was trying to put the ring back in the box."
Going further in the interview, Maxwell revealed what happened next. The prolific cricketer mentioned that Vini couldn't be able to find him as he was ducking down inside his car to get ready. However, later, after getting ready, Maxwell hid behind a big tree, but he still felt that he might be looking like a creep. Elaborating more on the same, Maxwell stated:
"She didn’t see me as I was ducking back into the car to get ready, and shut the door and run back into the middle of the park. I hid behind a tree, would have looked like a real creep in a park. There were all these people around, and I thought as long as everyone moves away from the centre of the park, I should be fine."
However, later, Maxwell got a bit annoyed after watching his then-girlfriend, Vini Raman walking in the wrong direction from where he was standing. Later, the cricketer told Vini to come back and tried to point her away so that he could propose to her. Maxwell told Vini to look out for a cafe out there, and as soon as she looked other ways, the cricketer was on his knees with the ring. Interestingly enough, Vini might have gotten panicked and ended up calling Maxwell. Maxwell stated:
"I sort of pointed her away by saying there might be a cafe over there, and she sort of turned away and I got straight down on one knee. But as I got down, she still had her phone in her hand, and she must have panicked and pushed a button because she started calling me."

However, it turned out to be a good memory. Maxwell also revealed how his now wifey got emotional back then. The cricketer said they still preserve the seven-minute-long voicemail consisting of their engagement chat. Maxwell shared:
"So, my phone is vibrating in my pocket like mad. And I’m sitting there with a ring in my hand shaking anyway. And she started crying, and I was like, I’m not taking this phone call. What is going on here?”
