Yes, a recent picture of Zendaya and Tom taking a stroll in a park is doing rounds and the actress’ round tummy popping out of a crop top started a rumour that she is pregnant. While the buzz is gaining attention, Zendaya’s old comment on parenting resurfaces.
In the past interviews, Zendaya has openly talked about her desire to have children and starting her own family. However, she has also voiced her concerns about raising children in the spotlight. In an interview with Vogue, the gorgeous actress spoke about her fame and how while growing up in the spotlight, she always had to oblige for a photograph with a fan as she felt the need to be grateful towards them.
But the actress clearly stated that she doesn’t want her kids to go through the same ordeal, highlighting the lack of privacy. Speaking about the same, Zendaya stated, "I don't necessarily want my kids to have to deal with this," referring to the intense public scrutiny she experiences as a celebrity. She also pointed out the "complicated feelings" about kids and fame due to the detrimental effects she has seen on child actors.
Zendaya wished to have a safe space for her future children. Her ideal future involves a career where she can "make things and pop out" when she needs to, but otherwise live a "safe and protected life" away from the cameras. In her words:
“Am I going to be a public-facing person forever? [My dream scenario is being able to] make things and pop out when I need to pop out, and then have a safe and protected life with my family, and not be worried that if I’m not delivering something all the time, or not giving all the time, that everything’s going to go away.”
The speculations around Zendaya and Tom Holland expecting their first child started making headlines after a picture of the couple surfaced online. In the picture, the stunning actress was seen taking a walk around the park with her arm around her husband, Tom, while her tummy popped out of her crop top.
The picture instantly grabbed attention and people started speculating that the couple is expecting their first child. While many fans believed the post, others questioned its authenticity. While the post received over 800+ comments, with many fans convinced the photo is real, it was later confirmed that the picture was AI-generated. The U.S. Sun revealed that the real version of the picture was taken in London back in 2023, and featured Zendaya with her flat tummy.
In 2022, Zendaya had to debunk a massive viral hoax after a TikTok prank featured a fake ultrasound made to look like her own Instagram post. At the time, she refuted the speculations by posting a message on her Instagram Stories, stating, "Just making stuff up for no reason."
