Yami Gautam had surprised the nation when she had announced her wedding with her best friend, Aditya Dhar on her IG handle. The two had worked together for his film, Uri: The Surgical Strike and love had blossomed between them during the shoot. After tying the knot, the actress has been sharing pictures from her wedding festivities.
Yami had taken to her IG handle on June 4, 2021, to share her ‘just married’ picture with her husband, Aditya Dhar. The actress had looked gorgeous in a deep-red saree with golden work over it and a matching dupatta pinned over her head. She had completed her look with gold jewellery, chooda and kaleere. On the other hand, Aditya had opted for a cream-coloured sherwani with a matching turban and doshala.

The new bride glow has been working miraculously on Yami and her first appearance post-wedding made us say ‘Mashallah.’ The actress had tied the knot in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh and her wedding planner, Gitesh Sharma shared pictures with the newlyweds on his IG handle. In the picture, Yami can be seen wearing a green silk saree with a golden border and smiled for the camera flaunting her sindoor, mangalsutra and chooda. Her long earrings talked about the local culture and traditions followed by the family.

To announce her wedding, Yami had not only shared a picture on her IG handle but had also quoted Rumi and mentioned that their wedding was an intimate affair. She had written, "In your light, I learn to love - Rumi. With the blessings of our family, we have tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony today. Being very private people, we celebrated this joyous occasion with our immediate family. As we embark on the journey of love and friendship, we seek all your blessings and good wishes. Love, Yami and Aditya."

On June 6, 2021, Yami had shared a couple of pictures from her pre-wedding ceremony on her IG handle. She had shared pictures from her haldi and kaleere ceremonies. For her haldi rasam, she had worn a yellow outfit with a red dupatta and sea-shell maang teeka. For her kaleere ceremony, she had worn a red saree with a big nath.
On June 5, 2021, Yami had shared happy moments from her mehendi ceremony and had captioned them as "O dear one, why worry? What is meant for you will always, always find you." For the function, Yami had worn a self-work orange salwar-suit with kiran on borders. She had kept her mehendi design subtle yet beautiful.
