Recently, Akanksha Chamola sat for an interview with CNN News18 Showsha. During the interview, she shared that her experience on Lock Upp 2 has left her saturated. When asked whether she is interested in entering the Bigg Boss 20 house, she mentioned that she doesn’t think she would survive in the house for 90 days. In her words:
"Abhi to nahi aa rahi hu. I am so saturated right now by captive reality that I don’t have the strength to do Bigg Boss. I gave up in 30 days in Lock Upp, do you think I can survive 90 days in the Bigg Boss house? Absolutely not."
Akanksha's ex-husband, Gaurav Khanna, previously won the show, Bigg Boss 19. In the same interview, Akanksha was asked whether she would be seen in Khatron Ke Khiladi someday. For the uninitiated, Gaurav was part of the show, Khatron Ke Khiladi 15. Akanksha shared that she would love to appear in Khatron Ke Khiladi. She said, "Oh yeah, Khatron sounds fun. It’s real shit out there, but I might think about it."
Akanksha Chamola, who is well known as Gaurav Khanna’s estranged wife, was last seen in the reality show, Lock Upp 2. Apart from her divorce announcement, Akanksha shocked the audience when she opened up about her bisexuality. While she was keeping it a secret from everyone, it was her fellow contestant and winner of the show, Shreya Kalra, who exposed her. The incident left Akanksha visibly upset.
In an episode of Lock Upp 2, Akanksha admitted that she is bisexual and had been in relationships with women before her marriage to Gaurav Khanna. She clarified that she didn't have a very intimate relationship with any women, but she has had some relationships. Akanksha shared that she finds women attractive and admires them too. In her words:
"Growing up, mujhe lagta hai ki it's a very male-dominated world toh humesha aap mummy, beheno ke taraf jaate ho… kahi na kahi jo comfort zone unse milta hai. I love that feminine energy; I love that comfort and thrive in that. Aisi society mein rehte hain jahan log bolte hain ki ladkiyan dost nahi reh sakti; jealousy hota hain ya competition hota hai. Mere mein woh sab nahi tha; mere liye all females are beautiful. It's a tag that society has given; for me, it's pure love."
While Akanksha announced her separation from Gaurav, many people saw it as a publicity stunt. However, in an interview with Viral Bhayani, Akanksha clarified that she is indeed getting a divorce from Gaurav. She revealed that they are just away from signing the papers. She added that before entering Lock Upp 2, she and Gaurav were discussing the matter. Akanksha explained that when he got married to Gaurav, people thought it was a publicity stunt as they are actors. She said:
"It's just that we have to sign the papers. This is a decision we have both taken. We have been talking about it for the past year. There is nothing bad between Gaurav and me. We still talk to each other, but we feel that we are not right for each other as partners. That is because we both want different things in life."
