It's the second time that Joe Hunter reached the end, and this time, he didn't get a single jury vote and lost by 8-3-0 vote. Recently, Joe revealed that it was a jury that had already made up their minds before even walking into the Tribal Council set. He also spoke about his feelings over losing to Aubry Bracco and Jonathan Young. So, let's have a look at what he had to share.

Joe Hunter speaks about losing to Aubry Bracco and Jonathan Young

Joe Hunter recently sat for an interview with Entertainment Weekly, wherein he was asked whether he thought there would be chances that he might win. To this, Joe revealed that he wouldn't fabricate, but when he was sitting on the chair for the final Tribal, he was being sceptical, thinking he was being hated by some of them and that made him feel that there was zero chance for him to win.

Well, it's not that he thought there were totally zero chances for him, but he realised that there were some people who really wanted to hear. Joe said that he felt it was very transparent based on the questions and answers, so much so that, before it even started, he felt it was a wrap. According to Joe Hunter:

"I thought maybe there was a few, and I'll give credit to  Emily, Rick Devens, Christian, Dee — there were some people that you could tell that were truly just trying to make this, "Hey, let me hear what you have to say." And anyone else could say what they want. So to answer your question directly, I just felt it was very transparent based on the questions and responses that before this thing started, I think it was a wrap."

Joe Hunter speaks about votes, the winner and more

In the same interview, Joe Hunter was asked if he thought he would get a vote and whether any of the votes left him surprised. Joe added that he surely thought that he would get votes, but he also didn't actually think that he would win, and that's where he stood with this. When he was asked about him making it to the end twice and losing by one vote, Joe was asked about his feelings on the same.

Joe remained polite and said that he prepared a lot for everything only except for that one thing that made him lose, but, he said, it must have happened due to the fact that he failed to do something, which led him to end up in the third position. Joe Hunter was asked if not Aubry, who did he think could win the game? Joe replied that both Jonathan and Aubry played really well, but Survivor is such a game which is challenging, and people should have a non-emotional, strictly analytical evaluation of the game to make it to the winner.

Joe Hunter spoke about what Cirie referred to as the 'Joetation'

'Joe-tation' is a phrase used in Survivor 50 by those who felt that Joe Hunter needed to be managed and babysat constantly. The term was coined by Cirie, who ended in the 6th position of the show. When asked about the same, Joe mentioned that he would not spread hate to anyone and would handle it the way he always wanted to. He stated that when he is friends with someone, he would vent, complain and be his truest and most vulnerable state, and when that person is not his friend, he would give simple non-truths. He further added that if he being vulnerable is being taken as a sign of him being managed, then it means he gave it to the wrong hands. He said:

"But if it's turned into babysitting with two particular people or a group of people, then it's like: “Hey, I just put that vulnerability in the wrong hands. You know, I mean? That's really what it is. And that's part of the game. So that's how I feel about that."
