During an interview with People, Timothy recounted their first encounter, stating that he would often go to “a bar right across from the Universal Studios,” at eight o'clock. At the time, the bar usually remained pretty empty; however, as soon as an hour or so passed, at 10 o'clock, the bar “would turn into a club.” It was while Timothy was looking through the door that he laid eyes on a person sitting at the bar wearing a fedora, who later turned out to be Melissa Gilbert.
