Confirming his untimely demise, Ryan’s sister, Melissa DeNino, shared a heartfelt tribute to him. He rose to fame with the TV reality show, Married at First Sight. Amid this, the focus has shifted to Ryan’s tumultuous personal life. For the unversed, Ryan was married to Jessica Castro, but soon after the show’s filming wrapped, they parted ways.
Jessica Castro is a reality TV personality. She is best known for starring in Season 2 of the lifetime series, Married at First Sight, in 2015, where she worked as a receptionist in New York. On the show, she was paired with businessman Ryan De Nino after meeting him for the first time at the altar. Though Ryan and Jessica chose to stay married on Decision Day at the end of the six-week experiment, their relationship quickly deteriorated off-camera.
A while back, Jessica reacted to the news of Ryan’s demise. Speaking to Page Six, Jessica shared that she had no contact with Ryan over the years. Sharing her condolences to Ryan’s family, Jessica said:
"I have not had contact with Ryan in years, so I have/had no idea what his life entailed. However, I do send my sincerest condolences to his family during this very difficult time. I can not imagine what they are going through. May he rest peacefully."
Coming to her personal life, Jessica is a mom to a boy. A few days back on July 12, 2026, Jessica shared a heartfelt post for her son. She mentioned that if she had done anything good in her life, it was being the best mom to her son. She wrote, "My son Shine. If I’ve done anything good in this life is be the best momma I can for you & I hope that you know that and feel the love every single day of your life."
Jessica Castro and Ryan De Nino crossed paths for the first time on the show, Married at First Sight. They were strangers but still agreed to marry legally as part of the show’s social experiment. Despite their frequent arguments and struggles to adjust to life together, Ryan and Jessica ultimately decided to remain married on Decision Day. In fact, on the show, Jessica once shared, "I come from a family of long successful marriages. The word 'divorce' just doesn't fall into my lifestyle." However, things turned sour following the show’s wrap-up.
On a reunion episode of the show, Jessica Castro accused Ryan of cheating. She raised suspicions that he had cheated on her on Valentine's Day 2015. She said, "A week before that, we had a blow-up because he told me that he was gonna be busy. So I didn’t see him. Not a card, not a thing. A few weeks later, I found a Valentine's Day card from another female at his apartment. Because Ryan was trying to make it work with someone else, that’s why [our marriage] didn't work."
On the other hand, Ryan denied being unfaithful and shared that he tried to explain things to Jessica. In June 2015, Jessica filed a restraining order against Ryan. At the time, Jessica’s attorney Marc Rapaport told PEOPLE that his client is "terrified for her life." Marc shared:
"There were two threats by Ryan to kill her. One of those threats was captured on a live microphone on the set while there was a filming of Married at First Sight."
