Matt Brown, also called Matthew Brown, was found dead at the age of 42 on May 30, 2026. The body of the Alaskan Bush People star was found at the Okanogan River in Washington State. Well, did Matt address his relationship status with a lady named, Jamie? Matt's fans cannot stop discussing his personal life, as his family believes he ended his own life. He reportedly had a history of substance abuse.
Matt Brown's brother, Solomon Isaiah Bear Brown, had shared that Matt was estranged from his own family. Matt's body was found in the river, and Bear had never suspected that Matt would have hurt himself. However, reportedly, in 2024, Matt explained to his fans his relationship with a woman named Jamie. Well, the speculations related to both of them being in a relationship had very much gone out of their hands.

Matt found it very important to clear his relationship status with Jamie. Well, it was in May 2024 that Matt suddenly introduced a lady to his fans. A report by the HT claimed that before Jamei, another lady from Ireland had come to visit the star.
Matt Brown later introduced a young girl called Jamie to his fans on social media. He had posted many pictures with Jamie, and it seemed they had both enjoyed a meal at Burger King. Matt looked the happiest in the pictures, but in his lengthy note, he had written of being happy. This is because he could hang out with his friend, Jamie.
Matt Brown clearly stated in his caption that Jamie had moved to Okanogan County for the good schools. He even said that the snaps were proof of the fact that he and Jamie hung out for the very first time. This is because he had been to the mountains. Addressing the rumours related to his fans misunderstanding Jamie for his girlfriend, Matt had said:
"A rumour has been going around about us, and I want to put it to rest. the rumor is that Jaimie and I where (sic) on the outs with each other. that came about because of a misunderstanding. So… to clarify Jaime and I are not getting married, and we are not on the outs, We are just good friend."
A heartbroken user, seeing Matt's pictures of clarifying his bond with Jamie, wrote, "If he had stayed single or met a woman of great worth, this wouldn't have happened. It's sad to know what happened; he didn't deserve this. May he rest in peace. Hope he finds peace now. There have been a lot of tributes to Matt, but there is one person who hasn’t said a word. Nooo Matt! I’m so sorry this world was/is too much! I hope you are able to find peace now."
Matt Brown's family alleged that he had struggled for a long time, but they did not expect him to hurt himself. Matt's brother, Bear, was reportedly dealing with a breakup, according to Page Six. One of his fans in the comments section of Matt and Jamie's pics wrote that he had tried calling her 80 times before taking his life. The angry fan had penned:
"You posted before you ended your world that you tried to call her 80 times and she wouldn't answer. I sincerely hope that you didn't decide to end your life over her. You always tried so hard to defeat your demons, but they never let go. Maybe, God's loving arms are protecting you now. We can only hope. RIP beautiful soul. You'll be missed."
Matt Brown's brother, Bear, remembered his sibling as an intelligent, curious, creative, and endlessly fascinated by the world around him. In loving memory of Matt, Bear penned, on behalf of his family, the loss of Matt. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. Bear wrote that his brother, Matt, had faced mental health issues for years. However, he was a gifted outdoorsman, fisherman, boatman, artist, and lifelong learner. A part of the note read:
"Matt spent many years battling serious mental health challenges and addiction. Like countless families facing similar circumstances, we experienced periods of hope, recovery, setbacks, heartbreak, and reconciliation. Our Dad, Billy Brown, never stopped believing in Matt’s ability to heal and find peace, and neither did we."
