She made her relationship with Matthieu Bailet Instagram-official by sharing their steamy pictures together. The couple seemed all loved-up together in the series of pictures, and fans cannot stop talking about their kiss in the same. Notably, it is the first time that Lindsey addressed her dating rumors and acknowledged her bond with Matthieu.
Matthieu Bailet is a 30-year-old French alpine ski racer. He is a champion in downhill and super-G events. Interestingly, he hails from Nice, France, and spent considerable time on the international skiing circuit. In fact, he was introduced to skiing much earlier than others because his sister, Margot Bailet, competed professionally before retiring. In turn, he found great success as a Junior skier.
Eventually, Matthieu made his debut at the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup 2016. Since then, he has represented his country at some of the leading competitions, which also include the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. Due to his dedicated and impressive performances in the sport, Matthieu got his first World Cup podium finish in 2021. At the time, he got second place in a super-G race in Australia.
For those who don't know, the speculations around Lindsey and Matthieu's bond first started when they were seen at a diner in New York. Since it was around Mat Gala 2026, there were a lot of paparazzi in the city, who got a glimpse of them in SoHo. They were also clicked riding the subway and attending the Broadway play of The Outsiders.
Meanwhile, sources described that they were getting to know each other. However, none of them made any public comment on the rumors. Still, they continued the connection over the summer and spent a lot of time together. In fact, their relationship grew during a challenging time in Lindsey's life. Earlier in 2026, the skiing legend had suffered a major crash at the 2026 Winter Olympics, just seconds into her downhill event.
In turn, she suffered a complex tibia fracture and an ACL injury. Lindsey underwent surgery and months long rehabilitation to get back. She even revealed that she had to spend weeks in a wheelchair and later on crutches during her recovery phase.
During that crucial phase, Matthieu, who himself is a professional skier, understood her situation. In this way, they also bonded over their shared experiences in competitive skiing. Incidentally, the relationship strengthened after Lindsey split from businessman Diego Osorio in 2025.
Lindsey Vonn finally confirmed her relationship with Matthieu on September 23, 2026. She subtly dropped their photos within her summer recap post on Instagram. The series of pictures featured many romantic moments between the duo, including their kiss in a swimming pool. She captioned the post, writing:
"About that time for a summer recap... pt 1."
Matthieu quickly joined in the celebrations and commented, "Can't wait to see the summer recap part 2." In fact, he shared the post on his International stories and added Olivia Dean's song So Easy (To Fall In Love) in the background.
