Actress and model, Khushi Mukherjee, never leaves a chance to grab the limelight. And this time, she stirred a controversy with her claims about Indian cricketer, Suryakumar Yadav during a recent media interaction. Speaking to the media, Khushi alleged that Suryakumar had messaged her frequently in the past.
Khushi Mukherjee is an actress who has been active in the industry for over a decade. Khushi made her acting debut with the Tamil film, Anjal Thurai in 2013. She also appeared in Telugu films like Donga Prema and Heart Attack. Apart from this, Khushi has worked in some B-grade Bollywood projects.
She gained significant recognition with her appearances on reality shows Splitsvilla 10 and Love School 3. Her appearances on the reality shows gave her huge fame, which helped her grab other acting projects. She has also worked in Indian television shows, including SAB TV’s fantasy series Balveer Returns and the mythological show Kahat Hanuman Jai Shri Ram on &TV.
Apart from her acting stint, Khushi Mukherjee has been in the limelight for her daring fashion choices. She is known for her bold outfits, which have often raised many eyebrows. Earlier in 2025, a video of Khushi surfaced online, in which she was seen wearing a golden halter-neck ensemble featuring a daring backless cut, a plunging neckline, and a thigh-high slit. However, her bizarre outfit garnered a lot of limelight.
Amid the huge trolling of her bold attire, Khushi once clapped back at the trollers and stated that people should not judge her personal life based on her choice of clothing. In an interaction with Filmibeat, Khushi voiced her opinion on her bold attire and said:
“I've been wearing clothes like this, I am like this. You cannot judge my personal life by looking at my clothes. You have to meet me in person, you have to talk to me and spend a day with me only then you'll know who I really am as a person. I think Mouni Roy also wore a similar outfit. Paris Hilton ke bolenge 'she lives America', so I can't compare myself with her but when Mouni Roy had such a similar outfit didn't get targeted and didn't get trolled.”
It so happened that during a recent media interaction, Khushi Mukherjee talked about her interaction with Suryakumar Yadav and revealed that the cricketer used to message her in the past. In a video shared by Kidaan Entertainment, Khushi spoke about it and revealed that she doesn’t wish to be associated with any sportsperson. In her words:
“I don’t want to date any cricketer. There are many cricketers who message me. Suryakumar Yadav used to message me a lot, but now we don’t talk much, and I don’t want to be associated.”
Khushi Mukherjee’s statement about the cricketer garnered a lot of attention and also triggered many reactions online. Many social media users questioned the timing of her comment, while others claimed that it was her way of seeking attention by involving her name with one of the most respected cricketers. Suryakumar Yadav, who has been married to Devisha Shetty since 2016, has not issued any public response to Khushi Mukherjee’s remarks so far.
