Sanjana Ganesan is not just a cricket star’s wife, she has her own separate fan base. Sanjana is a sports reporter and presenter. She completed her schooling at The Bishop’s School in Pune. She later took a B.Tech degree from Symbiosis Institute of Technology. Despite having an engineering background, Sanjana chose media and glamour as her career.
Before becoming a sports presenter, Sanjana Ganesan worked as a model and participated in Femina Miss India. She was a finalist at the pageant. Sanjana also featured on the reality show, MTV Splitsvilla in 2014. Soon, she started hosting pre-match and post-match shows in major cricketing events on Star Sports. Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan first met each other in the 2013-2014 season of IPL, but never got the opportunity to interact with each other. In 2019, they met again during the practice sessions during the World Cup. But Bumrah never spoke to Sanjana, and she thought that he might be married or have a girlfriend.
But once they started interacting with each other, she realised that it was Bumrah’s shy nature because of which he didn’t interact with her. Bumrah once spoke about their awkward silences and said that both of them thought the other person might be arrogant. However, when Sanjana was covering the 2019 World Cup, they became friends and spoke often.
After dating for two years, Bumrah planned a dreamy proposal for Sanjana, and she said yes. Soon, they got married in a private ceremony in Goa on March 15, 2021. They followed the Sikh traditions in their wedding ceremony. The ceremony was attended by the couple's close friends and family. On September 4, 2023, the couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Angad.
