Hirschi, are going their separate ways after being together for three years. Todd said in a statement that it was a “difficult decision” and expressed gratitude for the fact that he and Bettijo had learned a lot over the course of all this time.

Compared to Todd Bridges, Dori has kept a lot of details about herself away from the public view. Dori initially enrolled at Trion High School and later joined Jacksonville State University. After acquiring a major in English, she came to the Georgia-based Kennesaw State University to study psychology. Among her family members, she has a mother named Jan Lenderman Ledbetter alongside two siblings, Casey and Brandy.
The Dalton, Georgia, native has avoided speaking in detail about her career on any occasion. While the circumstances leading to her entry into the acting industry remain unknown, she has worked on five films so far.
In 2000, Building Bridges marked Dori Smith’s debut. It was a short film focusing on the life of her ex-husband, Todd. This was followed by a TV movie, After Diff’rent Strokes: When the Laughter Stopped. Dori played the role of Karen in the 2003 film Black Ball. She took a break of four years and returned with Big Ball’n and Foster Babies, with the latter being her final appearance.
Although Todd’s marriage to Bettijo ended in three years, the same thing lasted with Dori for a longer period. Before the divorce was finalized in 2014, Bridges and Smith’s marriage created headlines when the former alleged in the legal documents that he was earning USD 22,500 per year. This was reportedly linked to the child support that Todd was supposed to pay. Todd claimed that it was not easy to cover the monthly expenses, even with a combined income by including Dori, who earned USD 1,750 at that time. Eight years after his divorce, Todd tied the knot with Bettijo B. Hirschi. Todd confirmed his separation from Bettijo on January 14, 2026.
