Alia Bhatt is currently on cloud nine as she is enjoying the motherhood phase with her lovely daughter, Raha. However, this was not the name she had initially chosen for her bundle of joy!

Alia’s journey from a bride to a dashing mommy has been within quite a short time span. And it was on November 6, 2022, she and her hubby, Ranbir, welcomed her bundle of joy, a daughter whom they named Raha. But, interestingly, there’s a special anecdote years before where Alia had once mentioned her desired choice of name if she was to have a daughter sometime in future. Well, during the promotion of her film, Gully Boy, in 2019, Alia graced an episode of the reality show, Super Dancer. It so happened that one of the participants had misspelt her name as ‘Almaa’ and not Alia. To this, Alia happily responded that she loved the name ‘Almaa’ and would love to keep it for her future daughter. In her words:
“Almaa bhut hi sunder naam hai, main apni beti ka naam Almaa rakhungi.”

Be it her pregnancy or post-partum journey, Alia has always been expressive about her unique experiences in each. For instance, just a few months before her delivery, Alia had opened up about her material and psychological preparations as she was set to become a mommy soon. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Alia mentioned that she had prepped up enough to keep both her professional and personal lives utterly separate from then onwards. Reflecting on the obvious changes motherhood would bring along. She reflected her confidence of being capable enough to manage her acting career along with being a committed mother at home.

Well, it seems that Alia and Ranbir’s bundle of joy, Raha is their sole sunshine, and the obsessed parents cannot seem to get enough heaping love and praise for their princess. A few days back, for instance, the doting daddy, Ranbir Kapoor, opened up about his new dad experiences and how he feels guilty every day about having to move away from her side due to work. Then, elaborating on how his daughter had just begun to smile, he mentioned how he tries churning out twenty minutes to be with his daughter.
