What to expect from Waiting Hai?

Waiting Hai follows the story of 'Sugam Mishra' played by Divyenndu. He is a rookie RPF constable who notices that while ordinary passengers struggle to get confirmed tickets, certain travel agents seem to get them easily. The series reflects on a problem that is faced by millions of Indian railway passengers almost every day. They wait for a confirmed ticket to the point of frustration, until they have no option but to either search for another way or reach out to an agent.

Yes, a travel agent who appears to have beaten the system and turned it into a business. 'Sugam Mishra' also sees this gap, and his investigation soon leads him to 'Afroz Hamza', played by Bhuvan Arora. 'Afroz' is a talented computer student who develops software to bypass the delays in the Tatkal booking system. And this back-and-forth becomes the core of Waiting Hai, exploring the Indian Tatkal ticket scandal through a mix of crime and comedy.

The seven-episode series looks into how 'Sugam Mishra's' routine takes a turn when he comes across a network manipulating the Tatkal ticket-booking process. And soon, what begins as 'Afroz Hamza's' loophole turns into a business. 'Afroz' and his uncle, known as 'Mama' (Vijay Maurya), use the software to secure confirmed tickets and sell them to passengers. 'Sugam' notices the unusual booking pattern and begins investigating.

The seven-episode series follows 'Sugam Mishra' as he investigates the ticketing network scandal as it continues to grow. However, his journey is anything but simple, as the people behind it face rivalry and betrayal. Will 'Sugam' be able to stop the network, or will his rookie efforts be met with something that is far beyond what he can handle? The makers have tried a unique way to present how the system has been bypassed.

More about Waiting Hai

The trailer presents Waiting Hai as a crime-comedy or "scam dramedy" rather than a thriller. The makers have tried their best to balance the sensitive plot with humour to keep it from becoming too intense. Alongside the ticketing racket, the story follows 'Sugam Mishra's' personal and professional struggles as he attempts to establish himself as an RPF officer.
