In a recent conversation, Victoria Beckham opened up about the ongoing rift inside her family involving her eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham.
The Beckham family drama has been dominating the headlines for some time now. For the unversed, earlier this year, in January 2026, Victoria and David Beckham’s eldest son, Brooklyn, shared an explosive six-page statement on his Instagram Stories, accusing his parents of manipulating him and ruining his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz. Both Victoria and David have been maintaining a dignified silence since then. In a recent conversation, Victoria broke the silence on the following.
In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, Victoria Beckham finally broke her silence on the ongoing family feud. Victoria mentioned that both she and David always loved their children. She highlighted that both of them tried to be the best parents to their children. For the uninitiated, Victoria and David are parents to four children, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper. She added that they have been in the public eye for more than 30 years, and that the only thing they tried to do was protect their children. Although Victoria didn’t mention Brooklyn’s name, it was clear that she included him even though they are facing a rift. She was quoted as saying:
"I think that we've always — we love our children so much. We've always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, we've been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we've ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that's all I really want to say about it."
In January 2026, a source told People that Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of David and Victoria, had no regrets after publicly accusing his parents. The source mentioned that both Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, were happy with their stance. The insider added that Brooklyn thought he was right and there was nothing in what he said. The source was quoted as saying:
"Brooklyn has no regrets about speaking out publicly against his parents. He, Nicola and the Peltzes are firm and happy in their stance. He's standing in his convictions. He feels right to be saying what he is saying."
On January 19, 2026, Brooklyn took to his Instagram Stories and shared a six-page statement accusing his parents, David and Victoria, of manipulating him. He levied multiple accusations against them. He highlighted that he didn’t want to reconcile with them and had stayed quiet for many years. However, they left him with no other choice but to speak for himself. He stated how his parents tried to create differences between him and Nicola. He wrote:
"I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed. I do not want to reconcile with my family. My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped. My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone."
In his statement, Brooklyn mentioned that his wife, Nicola, was consistently disrespected by his family. He shared that for his parents, David and Victoria, public promotion and brand Beckham come first. He added that most of his life was controlled by his parents.
