Twisha Sharma's Friend Reveals She Was Denied Food, Forced To Lose 15 Kg Before Pregnancy, 'Lost'

Twisha Sharma, who was a Noida resident, reportedly died by suicide on May 12, 2026, at her in-laws' house under mysterious circumstances. Her mom-in-law, Giribala Singh, has alleged that she was addicted to drugs. Twisha's friend, Manika, now claimed that she was denied food. Twisha's friend shared that the former model was told to lose 15 kg so that she could carry a baby.

Twisha Sharma's friend, Manika has made some chilling allegations in a conversation with Barkha Dutt. Manika alleged that Twisha was starved, told to lose weight so that she could prepare for pregnancy. Twisha was told to lose 15 kgs and was denied access to food. Manika was asked about how she wanted to remember her friend, Twisha. She revealed of not knowing how to answer this question because they have so many memories of her.

Twisha Sharma's friend, Manika, revealed that she was such a brilliant girl, and whatever Giribhala has said is just traumatising. Manika shared that Twisha was living through all these things. She failed to understand the same and has this question of why Trisha suffered and even tolerated these things in the first place. Manika shared how Twisha was denied food and was told to lose 15 kg so that she could carry a child. Manika shared:

"Food not given. What nonsense. Are we in 2026?  She was not given proper food. She was forced to lose some weight so that she can carry a baby. She lost 15 kgs in just a few months. Yeah she was denied proper food. Whenever she used to go in the kitchen there were less food for her. They would tell her go eat but whenever she used to go in the kitchen and check there was limited food kept for her."

Twisha Sharma's parents have denied the allegations and accused Samarth and Giribhala of torturing her over dowry demands. Now, the first clips from Twisha's home where she died by suicide at Bhopal's Katara Hills area have surfaced. The rooftop was the spot where Twisha reportedly hanged herself, and it created a highly prolific investigation that has caused anger.

Twisha Sharma's body has been kept at the mortuary of AIIMS Bhopal as legal and forensic procedures are continuing. The case has seen major developments post the Madhya Pradesh High Court ordered a second autopsy to be conducted, which was also conducted by a specialised team of doctors from AIIMS Delhi.

The direction had come after Twisha's family had raised concerns related to the initial postmortem examination and also had sought an independent forensic review related to the case. Now, in the latest piece of development, Twisha's husband, Samarth who was reportedly missing since more than 10 days has been arrested in relation to the case. He arrived in Bhopal on the morning of May 23, 2026, and the cops are expected to seek his custody remand for further questioning.

Twisha's husband, Samarth Singh, has been one of the main accused in the case. According to the Bhopal police, an FIR has been lodged under Sections 80(2) (dowry death), 85 (cruelty by husband or in-laws towards a married woman), and 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with various other sections related to the Dowry Prohibition Act. The cops have not yet been able to find out what led to Twisha Sharma taking the extreme step, and there are a lot of questions that need answers.
