Kayla Nicole got all eyes on her ahead of her ex-boyfriend, Travis Kelce's wedding to Taylor Swift.
The internet is currently abuzz with discussions regarding Taylor Swift and her beau, Travis Kelce. Their love story will soon reach fulfilment as the fiancées are all set to transition to spouses. According to TMZ, the pop sensation and the NFL star will be tying the knot at Madison Square Garden on July 3, 2026, and have already sent invitations to around 1,100 to 1,200 guests. About a month ahead of the much-awaited event, Travis Kelce's ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole's comments about her dating life has come into focus.
Model and podcast host, Kayla Nicole dated Travis Kelce for about five years, before he met the ultimate love of his life, Taylor Swift. As the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is all set to take the next step of his life with the Love Story singer, Kayla said she is "definitely dating" around but not being serious with anyone as per TMZ. The media outlet got her for a quick chat in June 2026, at the 6th Annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards and asked her about her dating life. Regarding her current relationship status, she jokingly said that she is "single as a dollar bill." When asked if she got her eye on anybody, she gave a fun and witty answer, saying:
"No, everybody got their eye on me."
Kayla was also asked whether she would consider appearing as a contestant on a reality dating show such as Love Island. She shot down the idea, saying that she has no interest in competing on one but would like to host it instead. She cited her background in journalism and her experience behind the mic on her podcast, The Pre-Game, to suggest she would do a good job if given the opportunity to host a dating show. Kayla would say no to participating in all dating shows without second thoughts, but might make an exception for The Bachelorette.
Kayla admitted she would consider participating only if she received a call from The Bachelorette team, as she considers it "the ultimate dating show." Kayla then talked about her viral Halloween photoshoot and how incredible her life has been lately. Overall, she looked in high spirits and unaffected by her name occasionally being dragged into the Taylor-Travis buzz.
Travis and Kayla's relationship lasted for five years, from 2017 to 2022, during which they experienced multiple breakups and reconciliations. One notable breakup occurred in August 2020, amidst rumours that the NFL player had cheated on her. Travis denied the infidelity accusations in a now-deleted tweet. He then reconciled with Kayla a month later. Travis' now-deleted post can be read as:
"This is fake news … a lie … and not why Kayla and I broke up … take all your hatred somewhere else please."
Travis and Kayla finally broke up in 2022, and shortly after their split, Barstool Sports reported that the relationship ended because Kelce wanted Kayla to pay for half of their expenses. Neither Kayla nor Travis publicly revealed the actual reason for their breakup; however, Kayla shared on one of her podcasts that she had to bear the financial responsibility for their dogs after their breakup. Without mentioning Travis' name, she said:
"I have dogs with the previous partner, and I got both the dogs' responsibility on me," she said. "I had a dog bill the other day; it was USD 2,000."
Travis fired back at Kayla's pet care claims on The Pivot Podcast in 2023, saying, "You got to be crazy, if you think I've never helped or gave her a couple dollars to grab some food." He basically dismissed the rumours that he was a petty partner who was stingy with money, despite being an affluent sportsperson.
