While he didn't reveal anything initially, the reason for his hospitalization has now been revealed. Taking to his social media handle, Travis recently shared his health update and revealed the reason for his hospitalization.
Taking to his social media handle, Travis Barker shared that he has recently undergone surgery to deal with his numbness. According to the drummer, he dealt with the numbness for a month, and he had to get his nerve fixed. Since last month, after a show, Travis Barker has dealt with numbness in his arm, hand, and fingers, and a nerve test revealed he needed a cubital tunnel release to fix it.
According to data, a cubital tunnel release is a surgery that is used to treat cubital tunnel syndrome, which results in a pinched nerve at the elbow (ulnar nerve) and therefore leads patients to feel numb in their pinky or ring finger. In some cases, this also results in weakness in the hands. Travis shared the story, writing that he hopes to get better soon and keep playing. He further joked that he is not sure why his wife 'looks so happy about it'.
For the unversed, three years back in 2023, Travis Barker faced serious health challenges, and later opened up about the same. Taking to his social media, Travis revealed that he had an episode of trigeminal neuralgia, which causes facial pain, numbness and burning, among other symptoms.
Sharing more about it, the then 47-year-old drummer stated that he was suffering from COVID and had a root canal, and he got over everything, which made him more optimistic about his life. Barker also shared that he was sure he could survive anything God and life would throw at him. This was during the time when Travis and Kourtney were expecting their child.
