According to sources, Tom and Christina's separation took place a few months ago, and it was an amicable decision. The couple has two sons, Ellis and Julian, and according to the TMZ reports, while they have been separated, they remained devoted to their kids.
As Tom and Christina have parted ways, the couple's fans remained heartbroken, given that they were one of the much-loved duos. They have been together for almost two decades, and thus, the parting came as a shock. Amid this, the duo's followers are looking back on their love story. Tom Segura and Christina P. used to co-host their podcast, Your Mom's House, wherein they talked about their family and relationship. The duo met in the 1990s, when they stepped into the comedy circuit. In the TigerBelly podcast, Tom revealed that he and Christina met as friends and used to work together. While Christina was attractive and caught Tom's attention, she was not single back then.
One of Tom's spies then informed him about Christina's breakup with her ex-boyfriend, leading him to ask her out, but she turned him down. However, Christina later realised that they had a connection, and it made her call and ask Tom out instead. Speaking about their relationship, Tom said:
"I was friends with her, we would do shows together, and she was a part of the crew. I always thought she was attractive but she was taken."
Following the episode of proposal and asking out, the couple started dating, and it was in 2008 when they exchanged vows. Eight years after their marriage, the couple's first son, Ellis, was born. And it was in 2018 when the couple got blessed with another son. Tom and Christina were not only husband and wife, but together they co-founded YMH Studios, which is a home for several shows, including Your Mom's House.
As per joint ventures, it was only four years ago, in 2022, that they reportedly bought a home worth USD 6.5 million in Austin, Texas. Speaking of their respective careers recently, Tom's Bad Thoughts season 2 earned an Emmy nomination, and Christina released two Netflix comedy specials and launched her cosmetics brand.
For the unversed, Christina P. is three years older than Tom Segura. Tom was born in 1979, and he is 47 years old, while Christina was born in 1976 and is now in her 50s. Tom and Christina had been one of the adorable pairs, and they would express their love for each other at every given point.
It was in a 2020 Netflix special that Christina said that she just loved her husband and his jokes. She jokingly shared how their relationship was like a normal husband and wife, where she would want to punch his face, and that too, for little reasons. She said:
"I love my husband. I laugh at his jokes. I think he’s fantastic. And then all day, every day, I wanna punch him in his dumb face. And it’s not the big things that make you wanna kill your spouse. It’s little stuff."
