Lars Anderson, who authored Tom Brady's documentary, revealed that their marriage fell apart as the latter was gone. He claimed Gisele sacrificed a lot for Tom, but they never had an equal balance. While she kept giving, Tom didn't realize what she needed because he was too busy making his name in football.
Lars revealed that Tom was an absent father, and that football was the reason. Lars was quoted as saying:
"She sacrificed a lot for him, and there was never an equal balance. It was the fact that he was gone, that he was the absent father. And it was football that caused that."
For those who don't know, Tom and Gisele divorced in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage. While Tom was a famous NFL player, Gisele was a Brazilian supermodel. But for the sake of their family, she kept her career in the background after they welcomed a son, Benjamin, and a daughter, Vivian.
In a 2023 interview, Gisele shared her side of the story as tabloids painted her as a villain who was stopping Tom from playing the game. They claimed that she divorced Tom as he U-turned out of retirement. She called those claims hurtful, and the craziest thing she ever heard. Gisele said she's always cheered for him and would continue to do so. She said:
"Listen, I have always cheered for [Tom], and I would continue forever… If there’s one person I want to be the happiest in the world, it’s him, believe me. I want him to achieve and to conquer. I want all his dreams to come true. That’s what I want, really, from the bottom of my heart."
Anderson also claimed that Brady and Gisele had other issues. He pointed out that the two had not much in common. She was famous and had great fashion sense. Anderson added that Gisele changed Tom in many ways. He also revealed that when Gisele walked the runway during the Opening Ceremony for the 2016 Rio Olympics, Brady wasn't there to suport her.
After the release of Tom Brady's recent documentary book, a source revealed that Gisele wasn't bitter about their divorce. She is grateful she got to spend time with him. It was his desperate attempt to save their relationship, which was hanging by a thread. He told his coach, Clyde Christensen, that he got to take care of his personal things. However, after 11 days with his wife, he returned to Tampa, but his attempt to save their fractured marriage had failed, and it showed in how Tom was behaving. He retreated into his shell, and there was no joy on his face; he seemed to be struggling with everything.
