Telegu Megastar Chiranjeevi Hosts A Star-Studded Reception For His Daughter Sreeja And Kalyan

Extravagance and fun go hand-in-hand when our celebs go all out to celebrate their special occasions. After the grand wedding celebrations, Chiranjeevi hosted an even grand wedding reception for his daughter, Sreeja and son-in-law, Kalyan.

This reception was held in Hyderabad on March 31, 2016 at a five-star hotel. Many bigwigs from the South Indian film industry and heavyweight politicians were seen at the reception.

Sreeja looked stunning in a pink gown with heavy embellishments designed by Dolly J and matching jewellery, while Kalyan too matched his elegant bride in a blue suit with a pink tie.

Sreeja’s brother, actor Ram Charan Teja with his wife Upasna, her sister Sushmitha with husband, Vishnu Prasad and cousins, Allu Arjun and Allu Sirish were seen attending to the guests and having a gala time. Chiranjeevi’s brother, Nagendra Babu with his family was also seen at the reception.

Chiranjeevi expressed his happiness for his daughter’s wedding, and said that he was glad the functions were over, as he could now concentrate on his comeback film.

This is Sreeja’s second marriage. She was earlier married to BJP member, Sirish Bharadwaj. The duo eloped in 2007 and got married, much to the displeasure of the star, Chiranjeevi. The marriage, however, ended in 2014 in the midst of dowry harassment accusations by Sreeja. They have a daughter together. Kalyan is Sreeja’s childhood friend, and they will be shifting to USA now.

The who’s who of the South Indian film industry like SS Rajamouli, director of Baahubali, actor Nagarjuna with wife Amala, Venkatesh, Aravind Swamy of Bombay fame, Radhika Sarathkumar, film director Dasari Narayana Rao, sound designer turned director and actor K Vishwanath, producer Allu Aravind, who is Chiranjeevi’s brother-in-law, veteran Telugu actor Sai Kumar with his wife, actress Jaysudha with her husband and producer Nitin Kapoor, Telugu actor Manchu Manoj with his wife and mother, comedian Brahmanadam, director B Gopal with his family, TV anchor Suma with her actor husband Rajeev Kanakala, and ace Telugu actor Venkatesh. Rakul Preet Kaur of Yaariyan fame was also seen at the do, marking Bollywood’s presence for the event.

Bigwig politicians like Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu, CM of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu, Governor of Andhra Pradesh Ekkadu Srinivasan Lakshmi Narasimhan, MIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi, Telangana minister K Taraka Rama Rao, and politician Daggupati Purandewari were seen at the do, blessing the couple and clicking pictures.
