Married At 18, Separated At 19, Sunidhi Chauhan Is Still High On Life

Singers come and go but if there’s one versatile singer that Bollywood (and Kollywood to an extent) can’t think of losing no matter what, is Sunidhi Chauhan.

With no godfather, no friends to help out in this industry, this woman made it big. And, that too at a moment when most of us are still struggling to cope with the lemons life keeps throwing at us.

When her professional career was slowly taking off, her personal life (that she chose for herself) was falling apart. 

Don’t we all know her story? She got married at 18 to director and choreographer Bobby Khan and separated at 19. Can you imagine your biggest decision falling apart at such a tender age? It gives you goosebumps to even think about it right? But, this singer chose to be a fighter and picked everything up and started a new journey.

But for this Crazy Kiya Re singer, it wasn’t the end of the road. Recently, Sunidhi made her acting debut with short film, Playing Priya, by Lekar Hum Deewana Dil director, Arif Ali. An excited Sunidhi said in a statement: 

“I always wanted to act but never thought that I would enjoy it so much. The whole experience was just awesome.”

Despite everything life threw at her, Sunidhi has always emerged as a fighter and we can't help being inspired. The singer-cum-actress who is blissfully married to singer and music director, Hitesh Sonik, is expecting her first child.
