Stand-Up Comedian Abish Mathew Engaged To South Indian Actress Archana Kavi

Abish Mathew, a renowned stand-up comedian, who has also worked with the All India Bakchod boys on the infamous and controversial, Knockout Roast featuring Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, has decided to tie the knot with Malayalam actress, Archana Kavi. Yes, you read it right!

We know it is hard to imagine a comedian tying the knot, as they are always making fun of marriages. But at the end of the day, they are just like us.

Well, the duo has known each other since childhood and got engaged on November 1, 2015. It was their parents who played matchmakers. The ceremony was a close-knit affair with only the couple's close friends and family in attendance.

It is the season of weddings! Check out the couples this wedding season: Harbhajan Singh- Geeta Basra, Rohit Sharma-Ritika Sajdeh, and now Yuvraj Singh- Hazel Keech.

It was a traditional South Indian event and the couple was dressed accordingly. Archana wore a golden Kanjeevaram saree with a red blouse. To add glam to her look, Archana opted for antique jewellery. The neckpiece had a green emerald that matched Abish's outfit. A kamarbandh gave Archana the look of a goddess. Abish donned a dark green kurta in raw silk with a dhoti. He completed his look with a printed jacket that had a mandarin collar.

The engagement bands were kept simple, and so was the entire event. It was a very intimate celebration where everyone seemed to enjoy themselves to the maximum. The couple plan to get married in early 2016.
