Sonam Kapoor Celebrates First Karva Chauth With Anand Ahuja, Applies Heart-Shaped Mehendi Design

The most unconventional couple of B-town, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand S Ahuja have effortlessly earned that sobriquet with the love, respect and their ‘everyday phenomenal’ journey of togetherness. On October 27, 2018, i.e. Karva Chauth, while all the ladies have eaten their sargi before the sunrise and have applied mehendi on their hands are all geared up for the most special ritual for a married woman’s life. What marks the start of one of the so many rituals of Karva Chauth, both Sonam and Anand posted pictures of the mehendi applied on their palms.

While Anand shared a Boomerang of Sonam applying mehendi on her hands as his Insta story, Sonam shared a glimpse of the heart design on their hands. Sonam added their initials, alphabets AS to hers. Check out the screenshot of Anand's Boomerang video and the picture that Sonam shared:

On October 3, 2018, i.e. National Boyfriend Day, Sonam shared a throwback photo with her husband, Anand and shared why he got promoted from being her boyfriend to fiancé and then finally husband. The smile on their faces will definitely make you go 'awww' with love! She captioned it as, “Happy #nationalboyfriendday to @anandahuja who used to be the best boyfriend and that’s why got promoted to fiancé and then husband. Love you forever and ever. #throwbackthursday #everydayphenomenal”.

To Sonam’s post, her doting husband, Anand commented, “You'll always be my girlfriend first and foremost! See you tomorrow!” to which, Sonam replied, “@anandahuja miss you”. On Anaita Shroff Adajania’s show, Feet Up With The Stars, Sonam revealed how Anand proposed to her. Though Sonam’s jaw-droppingly gorgeous wedding ring was as grand as her star-studded wedding in May, she said ‘YES’ to her Mr Right without that little sparkling thing. Yes, you read that right! Sonam and Anand are often in a long-distance relationship, courtesy their work commitments. So, in an interview with Filmfare, Anand revealed how they make their long-distance marriage work. Anand said, “When it comes to marriage, small things matter a lot. We eat meals together, even if we are in different time zones, on Skype. We also actively make sure that we don’t go over two weeks without seeing each other.”

In Vogue’s July issue, Sonam revealed how she met Anand, their first date and how Cupid struck them. Reminiscing their first date, Sonam said, “I was apparently wearing the worst sneakers he had ever seen. I keep telling him that he fell in love with me despite my bad sneaker game... That day, walking and talking in London, I knew he was the love of my life. He apparently knew the first time we spoke on the phone…It was just so easy."

About the first time when he met Sonam, Anand shared, “The first time we met, we talked about our respective work. I was just struck by the fact that I could speak to her so openly about everything. We were chatting on Snapchat one night and she said, ‘Stop texting, just call me.’ And we spoke for two hours that night...
