In an interview, Sonakshi Sinha talked about her wedding plans and how her father, Shatrughan Sinha doesn't want her to get married.
Sonakshi Sinha had made her debut in Bollywood with the film, Dabangg, and since then, she has been a part of several blockbuster movies. She is not just a successful actress but also a doting daughter to her parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha. Sonakshi’s love life often hits the headlines, be it her relationship with ex-beau, Bunty Sachdev or her recent relationship reports with Zaheer Iqbal. Her fans desperately want to know her wedding plans and now, the actress talked about the same.
In 2020, Sonakshi Sinha had hosted 'An Ask Me Anything' session on her Instagram handle with her fans. Soon, her fans had started shooting her questions like, 'When you are going to get married' and 'If you would marry your husband name'. To this question, Sonakshi had replied, "No will marry full husband not just his name." She had further added, "Kaha pe milta hai yeh? Where can I get it? Koi bata do. 'Ps: itni chinta toh mummy papa ko bhi nahi rehti'."

In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Sonakshi Sinha talked about her wedding plans and her parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha’s reaction to it. She said, “If it is up to him (Shatrughan Sinha) then he would never want me to get married. Mom sometimes drops that little bomb ki abhi toh time hogaya, (marriage) kar lena chahiye, and I just give her one look and then she’s like acha thik hai thik hai (laughs). No, there are not like I’m glad that they have given me that kind of independence where until I’m not ready they will not really like sit on my head and like ‘shaadi karlo beta’ because see, I’m happy with my work and I’m doing well.”
Sonakshi’s journey from Dabangg to Kalank has not been an easy one! She has been subjected to trolls and body-shaming constantly. On Arbaaz Khan’s show, Pinch by Arbaaz Khan, Sonakshi had spoken her heart out and had addressed all the online trolls. On the show, when Arbaaz had read out an online troll that had asked her to settle down, the actress had said, “Matlab life ka hal hai get married and settle down, aur kuch karna nahi hai life mein aur jo kar rae hain unko bhi bolo ki get married and settle down. Means what? Unko kya lagta hai ki hum tour pe jaate hain aise hi naachne, mazey karne, aish karne and party karne? It's part of my work, I am doing my job.”

In a 2018 interview with the Brides Today, Sonakshi had got candid about her dream man and had shared, “Someone who gives me space and never ties me down. Never marry for the wrong reasons." She had also shared the name of her crush and had said, “The only actor that I ever had a crush on was Hrithik Roshan because of Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai.”
