In a recent interview, Adil Khan Durrani's wife, Somi Khan opened up about their first meeting, relationship and hush-hush wedding.
Rakhi Sawant's ex-husband, Adil Khan Durrani got married to Bigg Boss fame, Somi Khan, on March 3, 2024, in the presence of their family members. Since then, their wedding has been a topic of discussion among gossipmongers. However, the newlyweds, Adil and Somi, are relishing their blissful married life together despite the controversies surrounding their marriage in the media.
In a recent interview with ETimes TV, Somi Khan opened up about meeting Adil Khan Durrani for the first time and reflected on their relationship. She shared that she never wanted to judge Adil based on his past and controversies and she met him as a new person. Revealing what attracted her to Adil, Somi Khan said:
"When I met Adil, I met him as a new person. I did not meet him judging him on the basis of his past. Frankly, I've not even seen videos of his past controversy. I didn't want to judge him for his past or prepare any notion about him. When I met him, I found him very well behaved, soft spoken, well cultured and mannered with no ego at all. He has a very amazing upbringing."

Speaking along the same lines, Somi Khan revealed that her husband, Adil Khan Durrani's meeting with her family at Umrah was a significant factor in their marriage. She added that she knew that people would start questioning her marriage with Adil due to his past, but she was prepared for it. Somi mentioned:
"I knew once everyone gets to know about our relationship they will start questioning because they must have heard about his controversial past. So it was a bit difficult for me as I've never been in any controversy in my life. But when our families met at Umrah and my mother, my parents met Adil and they found him very well cultured. That played a significant role in our relationship. We got a green signal for our relationship from there on."
She further opened up about her family's meeting with Adil during Umrah and shared that she also took her own sweet time to get to know more about her partner. She added that she found Adil very kind and caring, so she didn't waste any time in having an affair with him and straight away got married. She said:
"Being a Muslim that place (Umrah) holds a special place in our lives. Woh sabse zyaada paak jagah hai wahan hum Na kuch galat soch, bol sakte hain... it is forever for us, this life is temporary but that place is very important. I also took my own sweet time there to get to know more about Adil. I found him very kind and caring. I did not see anything wrong in his behaviour. When we got to know each other, we did not waste time dating or having an affair. We just wanted to get married. We are old school in that way. We felt positive about this relationship and got married."

Somi Khan, who was part of Bigg Boss season 12, shared that she wants to stay away from any kind of controversy and would like to ignore the controversial situations in her life. She also revealed that only Adil and his family matter to her as they are nice people. In her words:
"I know there will be tough situations in life and controversial ones but we are going to ignore them. There are people who are trying to create problems. Begaani shaadi mein Abdullah Deewane, but I'm going to stay away from them. I know him as Adil Khan Durrani, I'm his wife, I know his family is amazing, they are nice people, and this is what matters to me."
