Recently, in an interview with Zoom digital, Smriti opened up on the meanest hate comment she had received. The actress shared, "Somebody said 'tere bacche ko corona ho jaye' and all that. I am always like who are these people. I know they are frustrated people, they don’t even know you and why are they telling you that but then also, you can’t help but feel bad about it.  She further added, "I think trolls people should anyway ignore. When I did not have a bump which was not big enough, that also people had a problem with. Once I put a photo of me having Maggie, that also I was trolled for and people said, 'You can’t have Maggie, you don’t care about your kid' and all that. Once I put nail polish and they said, ‘You can’t put nail polish in pregnancy, you can’t colour your hair.' There are solutions to everything. Even I do my research and I know what is good and what is not."

Smriti shared how she tries to not take these hate comments to her heart, "Sometimes it affects me, sometimes I laugh also because you get really funny comments. I know my weight is in a very healthy range and I gained a total of 14 kg in my pregnancy. So my doctor said it has to be between 12-14 kg, so 14 kg was anyway the highest limit. My doctors know much better than probably what these trolls are telling me. So that makes me laugh at times. But there are times the comments are really mean so you can’t help but feel bad about them."
