On the ninth day of Ketan's murder investigation, Lonavala Rural Police had an extensive questioning session with Sahil Goyal to understand more about his sister's relationship with her alleged co-conspirator, Chetan Chaudhary, along with other aspects of the case, including his acquaintance with Chetan.
The authorities reportedly questioned Sahil for nearly 10 hours, with Siya's whole family insisting they would never have forced her into marriage with Ketan. During the interrogation, Sahil reportedly told investigators that the family would have immediately cancelled the wedding if Siya had expressed any reluctance about marrying Ketan. However, despite her family's repeated confirmation, Siya had allegedly agreed to marry Ketan. Sahil reportedly told the police:
"If Siya had said she didn't like Ketan, we would have stopped the wedding."
Officials said Sahil was summoned in the morning and allowed to leave late in the evening after nearly 10 hours of questioning. Investigators also cross-checked details regarding his acquaintance with Chetan Chaudhary. Sahil's statement to the police suggests the 20-year-old prime accused may not even have shared any concerns about the marriage, which makes the case more disturbing.

Another report suggested that some of the family members, especially Siya's brother, had an idea about Chetan and her bond. According to the police, they are now investigating Sahil to find out whether he shared the information about Chetan and Siya with his family members.
Investigators recently revealed that Chetan Chaudhary is a cricketer and is a known acquaintance of Siya Goyal's brother, Sahil Goyal. Apparently, Sahil and Chetan used to play matches together, and Siya would often accompany them. According to the report, Siya and Chetan met during one of such matches, and they grew closer after a gathering during Diwali 2025.

According to a report by India Today, Siya accompanied her brother during tournaments. Investigators believe Siya and Chetan met during one of these tournaments and reconnected later. The pair once again met at a Diwali gathering in 2025 organised by a common friend. Over six months from January 2026 to June 2026, Siya and Chetan had around 2,004 phone calls.
According to police, Ketan Agarwal, 26, was allegedly pushed off a cliff at Lohagad Fort on June 18 by his fiancée, Siya Goyal, 20, and her alleged boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary, 22. Investigators allege the duo conspired to kill Ketan because Siya no longer wanted to proceed with their wedding, which had been scheduled for November.
Siya Goyal allegedly told investigators that she had expressed her reluctance to marry Ketan Agarwal directly to him. She reportedly claimed that Ketan refused to call off the wedding and allegedly warned her that even if she ran away, his influential family would track her down and ensure the marriage took place. During questioning, Siya also allegedly stated that she was unhappy with the fact that Ketan had partial hair loss and wore a wig, adding that she had developed feelings for co-accused Chetan Chaudhary during that period.
When investigators asked why she never informed her family about her objections, Siya reportedly said she did not want to disappoint or hurt them and believed eliminating Ketan was the only way out. She reportedly told the authorities that eliminating Ketan was the "easier" option. However, the deceased's father, Vishal Agarwal, dismissed the speculation that his son's hair wig may have played any role in the alleged crime. He dismissed the bald patch theory and said:
"It is true that Ketan wore a small patch of wig. Siya and her family were informed about it before the engagement. If she had any issues, she should have said no. What was the need to kill my son?"
The allegations against Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary remain under investigation, and more members of their respective families and friend groups will be questioned next.
