However, after divorcing him, Shweta got married to Abhinav Kohli in 2013, but that too ended on an ugly note. She is currently separated from Abhinav with whom she shares a son, Reyansh Kohli.
For the unversed, apart from Reyansh, Shweta is a mother to actress Palak Tiwari from her first marriage to Raja Chaudhary. Shweta and Abhinav got married in 2013, but in 2017, issues began to crop up in their marriage. The two parted ways in 2019 and have been living separately since then. Abhinav has been taking a dig at Shweta and has been shading her.
On July 13, 2026, Shweta and Abhinav completed 13 years of their marriage and despite the sourness in their relationship, Abhinav penned a wish for the actress. Taking to his IG handle, Abhinav shared a graphic of Tom and Jerry and penned how, despite the problems in their marriage, they still aren’t separated. An excerpt from his note can be read as:
“Where others pack their bags by year five or year six, and walk away so easily with a quick, quiet fix. We hit our thirteenth year on a very different track; we aren't walking close, yet we haven't cut the pack. 13.7.13—"Tera saath, tera..."—was the day we tied the knot, Thirteen, a lucky number for me, though for others it is not. No papers are filed, though the distance is wide. Just a 13-year riddle with a twist on the side. So here’s to the story that we couldn’t rearrange. Happy 13th Anniversary, Cuddles Kohli, to a bond that is strange!
Abhinav and Shweta first met on the sets of the show, Jaane Kya Baat Hui, and in 2013, the couple tied the knot. Initially, the duo gave the vibes of a match made in heaven, but soon after they welcomed their son, Reyansh, in 2016, their marriage hit a rough patch, and in 2017, Shweta filed a complaint against him for domestic violence.
However, in 2019, taking to her Instagram handle, Shweta Tiwari’s daughter, Palak, penned a long note clarifying that she was the victim of physical abuse, not her mom. Palak wrote that Abhinav never hit her mother, Shweta, except on the day when the complaint was launched against him.
Since 2019, Shweta and Abhinav have been separated, and over the years, Shweta has maintained her silence in the face of the many accusations Abhinav has levelled against her. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Shweta had spoken about how her bad choices in men had worried her about her kids, Palak Tiwari and Reyansh Kohli, as such situations have negatively impacted them.
She also mentioned how people mocked and criticised her for her failed marriages. In the same conversation, Shweta mentioned that people wrongfully attacked her daughter, Palak and claimed that, like her, even her daughter might get married five times. In retrospect, Shweta said that it might be possible that Palak doesn’t get married at all.
