Dipika and Shoaib had met on the sets of Sasural Simar Ka and had turned into good friends. After dating each other for three years, the duo had taken their relationship to next level and had tied the knot in a nikah ceremony on February 22, 2020. The duo had completed two years of marital bliss and have been inspiring the millennials with their adorable chemistry. Dipika and Shoaib keep on sharing lovely pictures with heart-melting captions and April 1, 2020, was no different.
Amidst the 21-day lockdown, everyone is spending quality time with their partners. Shoaib too gives glimpses of his beautiful moments, every now and then on Instagram. On April 1, 2020, he took to his Instagram handle and shared a lovely picture with his joru, Dipika Kakar. Dressed in their casual outfits, the duo looked adorable as they spend some ‘us’ time amid the quarantine. Along with the picture, Shoaib wrote, “Me and you. Just us two.”
Dipika and Shoaib never shy away from flaunting their love for each other and their respective social media handles are filled with their oh-so-lovely pictures. On March 18, 2020, Dipika had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared how she and her hubby, Shoaib were making the best use of the COVID-19 quarantine period. She had shared two adorable pictures with Shoaib and had given us a glimpse of expectations v/s reality. On February 22, 2020, Dipika and Shoaib had celebrated their second wedding anniversary. They had begun their anniversary by cutting a cake with Shoaib’s family. It was Shoaib’s emotional note, which had melted our hearts. Shoaib had taken to his Instagram handle and had shared beautiful pictures with Dipika. Along with the pictures, he had written, “May Allah blesses us with happiness & peace like He has always done, and a long life of togetherness. Baaki ye to tum jaanti hi ho that I Love You bahut zyadaaaa... #happyanniversary.”
In an interview with the Indian Express, Dipika had talked at lengths about her relationship with Shoaib. When asked what was that one thing, she loves about Shoaib, Dipika had stated that she loves the way he values each and every relationship in his life. Be it his family, friends or even co-actors, Shoaib is somebody, who treats everyone with the same respect. He does not differentiate between people and takes everyone along and walks ahead.
This is Dipika’s second marriage to Shoaib. Her previous marriage had ended up in a divorce in 2015 due to compatibility issues. In an interview with The Times of India, Dipika had talked about how she had fallen in love with Shoaib, and had shared, "I wanted to be sure that this relationship wasn’t on the rebound. Also, we were getting to know each other better. No matter how progressive we become, being a divorcee has some kind of a social stigma attached to it in our society. I had that stamp on me. But he gave me that space and despite being aware of my past, never complained about it. He has in fact always respected that. Coming from a small town, even his parents never let me feel that. I have always longed for family. Ammi sends dabba for me when my mother is not there. I feel I am more close to his mom than him. Everything is positive and we are more at peace now."
