Television actor, Shalin Bhanot likes to keep his personal life private after an ugly split from his first wife, Dalljiet Kaur. However, for the first time, he hinted at his second marriage after years of divorce. For those who don't know, Shalin Bhanot was earlier married to Dalljiet Kaur and they also have a son. However, Dalljiet has been single-handedly raising him.
After buzz about Shalin's second marriage surfaced, in an interview with Zoom, he talked about the same. The actor admitted that marriage is on the cards and the decision is mostly influenced by his family, who don't want him to stay single. Reacting to the speculations, Shalin revealed that his close family is nudging him to settle down. He said:
"Everyone around me is married or in a relationship. I am literally the only one who is single. My friends and family don’t want me to be alone and are manifesting that I should get married next year."
A few years ago, when Shalin participated in Bigg Boss 16, he was linked with his co-contestant, Tina Datta. Their bond quickly made headlines and was the most talked-about topic of the season. While Shalin repeatedly admitted his feelings, Tina clarified that they are just friends. Their bond was quickly characterised as a romance created solely for votes. By the end of the season, their bond had ended, and they cut off all communication due to heated arguments.
Earlier, in an interview with Free Press Journal, Dalljiet Kaur revealed that she always respected Jaydon's presence in his life. She added that she never imposed any restriction on their meetings. She even encouraged Shalin to meet her second husband before their wedding. However, she got the shock of her life when Shalin disappeared from Jaydon's life. She said:
"One moment you’re there, the next you just vanish. That’s exactly what happened, and it was shocking. For me, it was always about what’s best for Jaydon. When the time came to redeem himself, he disappeared, not from me, but from his child. Jaydon looked for him in that void, no child should ever go through that."
Dalljiet revealed that after their divorce, she never stopped Shalin from seeing Jaydon. However, she never initiated talking with Shalin, but always encouraged him when he himself expressed the wish to see their son. Dalljiet stated that it is going to be a big void in Jaydon's life as Shalin disappeared after nine years.
For the unversed, Shalin Bhanot got married to his co-star, Dalljiet Kaur in 2009. Together they also have a child named Jaydon. They got divorced in 2015. The ex-couple was once hailed as the most-loved jodi, but they parted ways on a sad note as Dalljiet accused Shalin of physical violence. Followed by an ugly battle of divorce. Years later, Dalljiet accused Shalin of disappearing from their son's life. But Shalin never addressed the buzz and kept focusing on his professional life.
