Appearing on a recent podcast, Not Just Football, Aaron Rodgers shared details about his personal life and made some remarks about his famous ex-partners as well. He spoke about Shailene Woodley, with whom he got engaged back in 2021. Now, reports claim that Shailene's close friends are concerned about the pointed remarks that Aaron Rodgers made during his recent interview.
Shailene and Aaron's dating buzz began in July 2020, and by February 2021, it was confirmed that the couple got engaged. By the next year, 2022, Shailene and Aaron called off their engagement, and back then, their decision was said to be an 'amicable' one. However, in a recent interview, Aaron revealed that he dated the actress, and when he proposed, she said 'yes'.
According to Rodgers, Shailene might have felt pressure, but she could have said 'no'. He also accused her of expressing her wish to him about sleeping with 'some guy' after being engaged. No sooner did Aaron make the claims than they hit headlines and apparently reached to Shailene's close circle, who now feel concerned about the same.
According to a report by TMZ, Shailene's close ones questioned the need for a 'married dude to bring up his ex' in his conversation. According to TMZ, it felt 'out of character' the way Aaron revisited his past with Shailene in public, because during their relationship, he honoured her approach towards privacy and valued that. According to TMZ sources, the ex-couple haven't talked in two years, and it wouldn't be comfortable for the actress to see Aaron making comments about her in public, after all these years, since she had no 'ill will towards him' and she also never spoke negatively about him.
Speaking to Outside, Shailene mentioned that she understood what anxiety and depression were after she parted ways with Aaron Rodgers. She revealed that she felt she had lost her soul and understood the soul detachment following her breakup, while adding that she didn't talk much about that relationship, as it made her emotional.
Recently, speaking on Not Just Football, Rodgers said that while Shailene said that he ruined her life and gave her depression, the story had a different side. Aaron mentioned he proposed to her, and within just four months she took off her engagement ring and said she didn't want to be with him.
He also said that they tried a couple of times to reunite, but by 2022, there was no relationship to save. Aaron also mentioned how his ex-girlfriends used his name to shoot up to fame. Speaking of Shailene, he said:
"Cause her story is, I ruined her life and gave her crazy depression because I left her, but in actuality she told me that and took off the ring by March. I proposed in December, took off the ring by March, and we had a couple of times when we tried to get reunited and nothing ever happened, and there wasn’t even a relationship in ’22 to break off. She literally told me I don’t want to be with you.”
