The ex-pair was at April’s Delray Beach, Florida, FedCup where a tennis match between Serena's sister, Venus Williams and German player Els Callens took place. Serena had asked Brett why he remained absent, to which the director confessed to partying with Puffy, Jay-Z and JD, Jermaine Dupri.
Well, in the TV conversation, Serena was frustrated and told Brett that she was at home for weeks. She had time and again told Brett to spend time with her and had complained that he would visit her for a short time and then leave. Serena reportedly left no stone unturned, broke up with Brett on camera and told him:
"I’ve been home for three weeks and I’ve asked you nicely and kindly not to come for [just] 24 hours. You come on Saturday and you leave on Sunday and I’m sorry but that’s just not good enough for me. I’m very sorry. We don’t have a relationship.”

The tennis legend had also said that it was bad that things did not work out between both of them. Ratner reportedly had tried to kiss Serena, but she had blocked him. According to reports, the extensive and busy lifestyles of Ratner and Serena were one of the major causes of their breakup. Their kind of relationship was not something he was looking in the long term as their expectations completely changed.
