Santy, an independent artist rumoured to be joining Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 20, is getting back to haters amid intimidating messages against his campaign.
The rapper recently took to Instagram to address the alleged threats, insisting that they would not stop him from raising questions about reservation reform.
Santy Sharma's recent revelations came shortly after he launched his Reservation Hatao – August Kranti campaign, which he describes as an independent public-awareness initiative focused on the reservation debate. The rapper claims the alleged threats are largely connected to his public comments made about reservation reform amid the CJP protest.
Taking to his Instagram Stories, Santy revealed that he was being threatened simply for discussing the reservation system and asking questions that some people did not want to hear. Posting a screenshot of an abusive comment on one of his posts, Santy wrote:
"Agar mai students ke haq mein aarakshan ki baat kar raha hoon, aur uske badle mujhko jaan se maarne ki dhamki mil rahi hai toh mai kisi dhamki se darne wala nahi hu. Dhamki mujhko chup nahi kar sakti."
The rapper also clarified that his comments were not intended to target any particular student or community. He wrote, “I’m not against any student or any community,” adding that he was only calling for what he described as a “fair and honest discussion” about the reservation system.
Santy took a defiant stance against those he says are attempting to silence him. In another Instagram Story, he wrote that he would continue speaking about what he described as the truth surrounding the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and its founders. In his words:
"I’m only asking for a fair and honest discussion on the reservation system, and I will continue to speak about the truth behind the Cockroach Janata Party and its founders. Threats won’t silence me. If speaking the truth comes with a price, I’m ready to pay it."
It's important to note that all these allegations have been made by Santy Sharma himself on social media. There has been no independent confirmation of the identity of the person who allegedly threatened him.
Santy Sharma (born Ganesh Sharma) is a rapper, singer, lyricist, and composer from Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. He began his music career around 2014 and initially built a following as an independent artist. His tracks include songs such as Udaan, The Valentine Song, Suni Suni Sadko, Peeta Daaru, and Black Heart. In 2025, the singer released his album Reborn and has since expanded into mainstream Bollywood music, having worked with franchises like Housefull 5.
But in recent months, his social media presence and controversial opinions have generated almost as much attention as his music. On August 3, 2026, Santy started the Reservation Hatao – August Kranti campaign in Andheri West, Mumbai, as an independent public awareness movement to encourage discussions on reservation-related issues.
Sharma has maintained that the campaign is not affiliated with any political party. Actor Puneet Vasishtha, who has previously appeared on Bigg Boss, has also been reported as supporting the campaign.
Santy Sharma is one of the celebrity contestants rumoured to be joining the brand new season of Bigg Boss 20, which is set to premiere in September 2026. While it has never been confirmed, it seems the latest controversy has not resulted in any publicly announced change to his BB20 status. However, if Santy does eventually enter the Bigg Boss 20 house, his recent controversy is likely to become an important part of his public image going into the show.
