Recently, Sana Makbul opened up about her breakup with businessman, Srikant Bureddy and claimed that he was insecure of her achievements.
Sana Makbul is a popular face on Indian television. In 2024, the actress made headlines after winning the reality show, Bigg Boss OTT Season 3. Later, the actress also grabbed attention for her relationship with businessman, Srikanth Bureddy. However, the duo soon parted ways. Well, now the actress has finally opened up about her breakup with Srikant.
Recently, Sana Makbul had a candid conversation with The Free Press Journal, during which she revealed the reason behind her breakup with businessman, Srikant Bureddy. Sana explained that her relationship started to deteriorate after she started achieving major milestones in her career. She was quoted as saying:
"Men can’t handle women like us. I’ve experienced that. In my personal relationship, when I went ahead of the man, he didn’t like it. I’m still struggling with it. This is the way I am, and you have to accept me. I may adjust and accommodate you, but you need to accept me."
Sana Makbul continued to share that her ex-boyfriend, Srikanth Bureddy initially loved the actress and appreciated her achievements. For the unversed, Srikant supported Sana during her Bigg Boss journey. He even took jabs at her rival, Ranvir Shorey. However, he soon started getting insecure of Sana and her milestones. Sana shared:
"It’s very difficult for a man to accept that, ‘Oh, she’s doing better than me,’ or ‘Oh, she’s loved by many.’ They do get insecure about it. I’ve faced this in my personal life. He had issues with a lot of things."
During the same interview with The Free Press Journal, the Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? actress, Sana Makbul shared that initially she adjusted multiple times for her then-boyfriend. However, she was not liking his behaviour and insecurity. She concluded the interview by explaining that when both she and Srikant weren't able to adjust, they decided to part ways. In her words:
"I didn’t like that. I was adjusting and accommodating to understand, but then I didn’t understand it. I feel when you don’t understand certain things, you should leave it at that and just let go."
Sana Makbul and Srikanth Bureddy were in a relationship long before Sana became a household name through Bigg Boss OTT Season 3. While they kept their relationship private in the beginning, they soon started appearing together in public and on social media. The businessman even stood by the actress during her achievements. He even showed his support for Sana during Bigg Boss OTT Season 3.
After the actress won the show, the pair opened up about their marriage plans. The pair had shared that the marriage will take time but "it will surely take place". However, the two soon parted ways. In the beginning, they did not reveal any reason behind the same. It is worth mentioning that Sana and Srikant had silently parted ways without any public drama.
